Big Grove Bed and Breakfast invite you to enjoy and luxuriate in the serenity that surrounds Big Grove Bed and Breakfast. Located at Big Grove, Albany, Western Australia nearby to the Torndirrup National Park, the Bibbulmun Track, Princess Royal Harbour and local tourist attractions. This rambling home is set in a grove of peppermint gums and seven acres of natural bush, where native birds such as Western Rosellas, the Red-Capped Parrot, Blue Wrens and Tawny Frogmouth are regularly seen. Also the bandicoots visit each evening and in the warmer months have visits from blue-tongued lizards. Kangaroos can be seen in our locality and the spotted-thigh and motorbike frogs are resident on the grounds. In the wildflower season at least seven species of Australian Orchids have been identified. The 3 guest rooms are upstairs and adjoin a large lounge that has views across the harbour to the city of Albany. The lounge has tea and coffee making facilities, a refrigerator and television. Another lounge and the adjoining dining room are located downstairs. Guests also have the use of a gazebo and barbeque in the tranquil garden setting. Breakfast is provided which includes fruit juice, cereals and fruit, toast and toppings followed by a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs and tomato. Located 500 metres from Panorama Beach, two kilometres from the Princess Royal Sailing Club, half way between Whale World (ten minutes to either location), closer to numerous tourist destinations including being approximately seven kilometres from where the former HMAS Perth, a guided missile destroyer, was scuttled for recreational diving. |

Access by Car: Travel to Albany via Albany Highway. Follow signs to Frenchman Bay Road and travel ten kilometres (main tourist route to Torndirrup National Park and Whale World). Turn left at Panorama Road to the first house on the left. Courtesy transfers for Bibbulmun Track walkers or pick up from bus or airport. |

Local attractions: Albany is Western Australia's first and oldest settlement, with magnificent scenery, historical significance and natural wonders. It is particularly well known for its whale watching season from July to October and the Spring wildflower season around September, but there are many activities all year round. Big Grove Bed and Breakfast is located near Torndirrup National Park, where the Southern Ocean has sculpted a Natural Bridge in the coastal granites and formed The Gap, where the waves rush in and out with tremendous ferocity. |
