Huka Falls Resort offers a peaceful, private and relaxed environment situated just minutes from New Zealand's largest lake, the world renowned Huka Falls, and the thriving township of Taupo. Nestled amongst 7 hectares of landscaped gardens and a vineyard sit our spacious stand alone villas. With three styles of accommodation consisting of 19 two bedroom villas, 11 one bedroom suites & 11 studios, with bath/shower, electric blankets, iron/ironing board and a private balcony. This is a unique venue for everyone with 2 tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool (summer months), petanque and wine tasting onsite in the Restaurant. The Huka Falls Restaurant offers stunning views over Mt Tauhara & the Pinot Noir vineyard. Summer opening hours are 7 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner while Winter opening hours are Mon-Fri 11.30am – 9pm, Saturday/Sunday 8am – 9pm (May to end September). The perfect setting for your wedding, with a historic church, stunning landscaped gardens & a variety of reception venues. We offer 6 conference rooms catering from 2-120 guests, a full range of technical, presentation equipment and conference support. From small groups to large corporate conferences, Huka Falls Resort has the facilities to suit your individual needs. We offer full in-house catering facilities and have our Huka Falls Restaurant onsite for your convenience. We provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus. Our largest conference room “Rangatira” is 19.64m x 8.64m and is adjacent to reception. It holds a maximum of 120 delegates in theatre style, 80 delegates in classroom style, 40 delegates in a U-shaped fashion, and 46 delegates in boardroom style. The Rangatira conference room can be split up into two separate conference rooms for your convenience. The Wharewaka conference room is 10.7m x 5m and holds a maximum of 38 delegates in theatre style. It can also hold a maximum of 32 delegates in classroom style, 27 delegates in a U-shaped fashion, and 20 delegates in boardroom style. The Kiwi conference room is a stand alone room with stunning views overlooking the Huka Vineyards - Taupo's first vineyard and features ceiling to floor windows. This light, spacious conference room is 8.2m x 9.0m and holds a maximum of 45 delegates in theatre style. It can also hold a maximum of 36 delegates in classroom style, 25 delegates in a U-shape style, and 30 delegates in boardroom style. Here at Huka Falls Resort we strive to maintain top technology for our conference guests. We are a Telecom Hot spot offering broad-band Internet access and a video conferencing capable venue. | Getting There |
We are located off SH 1, just a few minutes north of the Taupo township along Huka Falls Road. Three hours drive from Auckland and four hours from Wellington on State Highway 1. Huka Falls Resort is about a 3 minute drive (2kms) from the town centre and 15 minutes (10kms) from Taupo Airport. From Auckland (from the north) - There are two entrances to Huka Falls road, take the second entrance, closest to Taupo, on your left as you come into the 80km zone. From Wellington (from the south) - Follow SH 1 straight through the Taupo township. Huka Falls Resort is at the top of the hill, follow the signs for "Huka Falls and Scenic Lookout" and turn right onto Huka Falls road. On Huka Falls Road: drive approximately 400 meters and take the first street on your left “The Boulevard”. You have now reached Huka Falls Resort. Please follow the signs through to reception.
