These rustic cedar cottages all with outdoor heated spas sunken into the deck have maximized the privacy and seclusion of the 52 acre property in the Hunter Valley. The cottages all have Oregon beams & rafters, Cathedral ceilings and wooden floorboards. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas cook top, dishwasher, breadmaker with provisions to bake your own bread and even a Gaggia espresso machine. A breakfast hamper is supplied of locally smoked bacon, farm fresh eggs, tomatoes, milk, juice, bread, butter and a selection of cereals. The cottage has coffee, tea and a choice of herbal teas too. Sit back in the lounge watching the flames dance in the wood fire combustion heater while listening to your choice of music from the iPod docking station. All the decks have the gas barbecue and covered sitting area. Sit back with a glass of Hunter’s best wine in the bubbling hot water of your private spa, the best place to star gaze or kangaroo spot. Lovedale, home to the famous Lovedale Long Lunch is filled with excellent restaurants and wineries. Should you prefer to eat in we can arrange Gourmet Barbecue packs. We need a minimum of 24 hours notice to arrange so contact us on the number provided on your booking confirmation. The bedrooms all have reverse cycle air-conditioners and all linen and towels are supplied. |

FROM SYDNEY - to Hunter Valley Wine Country via National 1 Highway (or F3 Freeway) (2 hours from Sydney CBD) From Sydney CBD, cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge heading North and follow signs to Newcastle and North Coast. This will lead you to Pacific Highway. Follow the Pacific Highway until you reach the National Highway 1 Freeway entrance at Wahroonga. (From Harbour Bridge to National Highway 1 Freeway entrance approx 30 minutes depending on traffic.) Take the National Highway 1 Freeway north towards Newcastle. Exit the Freeway at the Cessnock / Hunter Valley Vineyards sign. ( Approx 1 hour or 100kms on freeway ). Go through Freemans Waterhole & follow signs to Cessnock. Once in Cessnock go to the end of Vincent street, turn left & immediate right into Allandale road. Go through Nulkaba & just before the Information centre turn right into Lovedale Road. This is on the corner of the golf course. Follow this road approx 10 km’s until you are past Wilderness Road. The next turn on the left is Camp Road, and immediately left is Talga Road. Continue down Talga Road for just under 5 km’s. Manzanilla Ridge is on the right hand side. |

| Things To Do |
Restaurants Amanda’s on the edge offers an outstanding combination of International and modern Australian cuisine. Offering views across to Manzanilla Ridge, Amanda’s is open for dinner every evening and lunch Friday to Monday. Mojos is located on Wilderness Road and is open for dinner each evening. Wineries With over 100 wineries in the area you can do as many or as few in one day as you want. We recommend the boutique Lovedale wineries and suggest the following loop: Capercaillie, Allandale,Cooper Wines, Gartlemans, Wandin Valley, Sandlyn, Warraroong and Emma’s Cottage. Should you prefer not to drive there are many different ways to get around the wineries: Group Bus Tours - Grape X-pectations offer half or full day tours for small groups around the boutiques wineries. Horse Drawn Carriages – Clip clop around the vineyards. Drives For a lovely drive, we suggest going to Wollombi Pub for lunch via Broke. Follow Broke Road to the end and then turn left into Wollombi Road. Wollombi Pub is a great place for a casual lunch and a cold beer. To return Wollombi road brings you back into Cessnock. For longer drives, continue down Wollombi road to St Albans. Horse Riding Hill Top, on Talga Road, offers horse riding for the beginner to the experienced rider. Ride with kangaroos and wallabies of a morning or while you marvel at the sunset in the evening. Horse riding is available all day everyday, riding over the very picturesque property of flat to undulating to steep forested mountain tops. Groups are able to enjoy a BBQ lunch or pre dinner wine and cheese as the sunsets. Canoeing Hill Top, located on Talga Road, offers canoeing. Take a picnic basket and your partner canoeing down the river or an ideal activity for conference groups or have some fun paddling on lake HillTop. Night Safari 4 Wheel Drive Wildlife Tour Hill Top, located on Talga Road, offers night tours. Join their wildlife tour to capture on camera the native animals of Australia in their natural environment feeding at night. Including kangaroos, wallaroos, wallabies, wombats, possums and koalas. Supper can be included with the tour. |
