Gail and Robert Corfe are dedicated advocates of the relaxed, open lifestyle, fresh wine & cuisine and inspiring countryside that is New Zealand. Like most residents of Taupo, Gail and Robert arrived from somewhere else (in their own case England.) They promptly fell in love with the magnificent invigorating environment that living "upside down" on the edge of the world's largest Crater Lake entails. The warm hearted atmosphere at Kauri Point shares their outlook and experience with guests from around the world.

Kauri Point offers three luxury suites, each with en-suite facilities and deck access. All rooms have heating.
All guest rooms have comfy seating for 2 adults and have flat screen TVs and a DVD player. Complimentary broadband internet. Downstairs we have a large TV lounge with surround sound cinema and Sky TV. Upstairs a guest lounge for relaxing. Books and DVDs available.

Sorry but this property is not suitable for children unless by arrangement.

We have two pets, Arnie an English Springer Spaniel and his friend Tiggle the cat.

Check In Instructions	3-6pm. We will do our best to accommodate your arrival time but please remember we are are small B&B and do not have 24 hour check in. Please let us know if you would like to arrive after these times otherwise it will be treated as a no show after8pm
Check Out	1030hrs
Getting There	From the north (SH5 or SH1) cross the Waikato River on the new bridge in the direction of Napier and Palmerston North. Stay on SH1/5 and leave at the next roundabout, marked SH5 to Napier. After about 4 kms turn right into Carloine Drive. 2kms turn left into Mark Wynd. We are right at the end - you will see our sign. From the south on SH1 - stay on SH1 until you reach the roundabout directing you onto SH5 to Napier. Leave here and follow the directions as above to Caroline Drive and Mark Wynd. From Taupo CBD - take the lake front road south out of town. Take the left exit towards Napier. At the roundabout go straight through and follow directions above to Caroline Drive and Mark Wynd.
Parking	Kauri Point is in a rural setting and is surrounded by 6 acres of gardens. There is ample space for parking. We can offer a locked garage if requested. Space for boats caravans is also not a problem.
Things To Do	The Central Plateau, including Lake Taupo, is unique, spectacular and is renowned for the amazing lake activities on offer, sporting events it hosts, entertainment of all descriptions from relaxing on the lake in pursuit of a trophy trout or to skydiving from 12,000 feet.
