Robinsons in the City is Melbourne's smallest boutique property. We offer 6 intimate (non-smoking) guestrooms each with a seperate private or ensuite bathroom. RITC is a warm, friendly and personal environment - we are charming & decidedly different. The property was Melbourne's earliest commercial bakery (circa 1850) and the large, wood fired, brick bakery ovens are a grand feature of the "Bakehouse" breakfast room. Four of the rooms are in the baker’s original home featuring; 12 foot high ceilings, pressed tin ceiling, ornate timber staircase and enchanting furnishings. Located on the edge of the CBD, Robinsons is a short stroll to the main city shopping precinct, NEW DFO factory outlet complex, Southbank & Crown Entertainment Complex, Melbourne Aquarium, Melbourne Observation Deck, Docklands (New Quay), ETIHAD Stadium, Melbourne's Tramcar Restaurant departure point, Festival Hall (Melbourne's "original" entertainment venue). All of Melbourne's transport links are right on our doorstep - The new Southern Cross Station & Bus Terminal (incl. Skybus Airport Shuttles), and the famous FREE "City Circle" Tourist Tram. St Kilda, Port Melbourne, Carlton, Fitzroy and the whole of Melbourne's inner suburbs are well serviced by the extensive tram network - all accessible from Spencer & LaTrobe Street tram stop just 400m away. Breakfast is served from: 8.00am – 10.00am (Monday – Sunday)- times subject to change. If you have an early departure planned, suitable arrangements can be made for an "early" breakfast. Please notify us prior to your arrival. Housekeeping: - For bookings of greater than 3 nights, bed linen & towels will be refreshed every second day. - To minimise the environmental impact of laundry chemicals, etc we ask that you hang up your towels and re-use them. Should you wish to receive fresh towels please contact the Resident Manager during your stay. - Beds will be made daily unless you have left any belongings on the bed. - Bathrooms will be given a hygeine clean and rubbish removed daily. |

| Getting There |
Situated at the corner of Spencer and Batman Streets (Melways Reference Map 2E, J2). RITC is a short walk from Southern Cross Station (which is 800m south of RITC), Flagstaff Station (800m South East of RITC), by tram (at the corner of Spencer and Latrobe Streets (400m south of RITC), Interstate & Airport Bus Terminal (which is 600m south of RITC) or by car. If you are taking the Skybus Airport Shuttle from Tullamarine. You can use the FREE Hotel Transfer buses that leave the Melb. Bus Terminal regularly and be dropped of at the front door. If you are driving yourself or taking a taxi from the airport, follow the "City" signs until the Dynon St exit. This exit takes you onto Spencer Street. After you have crossed the Dudley Street intersection/traffic lights, take the next right into Batman Street. We are on the right hand side after you make the turn. |

Off-street parking is available, but it is limited and must be pre-booked. A public parking garage is also located on Batman Street (fees apply). |

Melbourne is full of attractions and we suggest that you check your guidebook. More unusual attractions include the villages along the top of the City and the magnificent parks and gardens. Try to take in a sporting fixture - these are a very important element of Melbourne's life and social fabric. |
