Check In Instructions	As of 24th August 2011, the Venice city council has applied a daily city tax to be paid directly at the hotel (3EUR: High Season; 1.50EUR: low season). Children up to 10 years old are exempted. It is not applied beyond the 6th night stay

Getting There	From Venice airport Marco Polo (13 km) By water:from the wharf of the airport you can take the Alilaguna motorboat to Venice and alight at "San Marco" stop. From here take vaporetto line 1 to Ferrovia and alight at the second sto "Santa Maria del Giglio". Continue for approximately 50 meters and you will reach Piazza Santa Maria del Giglio where you will find our hotel (the trip takes about 90 minutes). Or you can conveniently take a water taxi, which can be booked directly at the airport and the trip will take only 30 minutes. By land: Bus+vaporetto (the trip takes approximately 1 hour). Takes the shuttle to Venezia/Piazzale Roma. From here continue with vaporetto line 1 to San Marco and alight after 25 minutes at the "Santa Maria del Giglio" stop. Continue as above. By train: from the Venice train station you can take vaporetto line 1 to San Marco and alight after 25 minutes at the "Santa Maria del Giglio" stop. Continue 50 meters and you will reach Piazza Santa Maria del Giglio where you will find our hotel. Or you can conveniently take a water taxi which can be booked directly at the station and the trip will only take 15 minutes. By car: from the motorway follow directions to Venice. When you reach Piazzale Roma, at the end of the long bridge connecting Venice to the mainland, leave your car in one of the parking lots. From here continue with vaporetto line 1 to San Marco and alight after about 25 minutes at the "Santa Maria del Giglio stop". Continue 50 meters and you will reach Piazza Santa Maria del Giglio where you will find our hotel. Or you can conveniently take a water taxi, which can be booked directly at Piazzale Roma and the trip will only taxe about 15 minutes.
Parking	When you reach the terminal Piazzale Roma (after the long bridge connecting Venice to the mainland), leave your car in one of the parking lots that have special agreement with Palazzo del Giglio. From here, continue with vaporetto line 1 to San Marco and alight after about 25 minutes at "Santa Maria del Giglio" stop.
Things To Do	Visitors can choose among a large number of museums, exhibitions, palaces, islands, guided tours to the lesser known parts of the city. Lido island offers sporting facilities such as golf, tennis, cycle and the added attraction of the beach. Other trips are to the islands of Murano (famous for the glass blowing factories, Burano (famous for the laces) and Torcello with its restaurants. Carnival, Historical regatta, Day of the Redentore, International Architecture Exhibition, Venice International Film Festival are the highlights on the Venitian calendar.
