Spicers Tamarind Retreat and Spa is a rainforest retreat in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, where Asian style blends with the tranquillity of the Australian bush. With the trickling sounds of the nearby waterfall and invigorating scents of Thai & Asian spices floating through the air, this retreat offers an intimate and peaceful escape from the world.

Our 12 private villas consisting of 5 one bedroom villas each offering a king bed, fireplace, deck, outdoor cedar hot-tub and lounge. Then there are seven 2 bedroom 2 bathroom villas which compliment this property with large double day beds on the deck, spacious lounge room, nespresso coffee machine, cocoon bath and wood fireplace.

You can do as much or as little as you want. Explore the soul of the Sunshine Coast, sample nearby Montville's shopping and gallery district, visit Australia Zoo. Taste the innovative modern Asian cuisine by dining at our in-house award winning restaurant or by learning the secrets of Thai cooking in our cooking schools.

Getting There	Spicers Tamarind is located at 88 Obi Lane Sth, Maleny QLD 4552. We are approximately 4km east of Maleny, 1 hours drive north of Brisbane, 50 minutes south of Noosa. Directions travelling North: Take the Bruce Highway and exit at the Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Drive. Travel 23km along this road, turn left at the Landsborough exit, and follow the Landsborough-Maleny Road towards Maleny for 11km until the Montville turnoff. Drive past the Montville turnoff for 1.2km and turn right into Obi Lane South. Directions travelling South: Turn off the Bruce Highway to Landsborough on Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Drive, and take the exit at Landsborough. Drive through Landsborough and follow the Landsborough-Maleny Road towards Maleny for 11km until the Montville turnoff. Drive past the Montville turnoff for 1.2km and turn right into Obi Lane South. Proximity to Brisbane Airport: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes drive Proximity to Maroochydore Airport: Approximately 40 minutes drive

Cooking School The Tamarind Cooking School offers a cut above the rest with a purpose-built cooking school headed by Daniel Jarrett teaching the intricacies of Thai cuisine. The school features state of the art cooking stations, air-conditioned comfort and spectacular views perched amongst the beautiful green grounds overlooking the rainforest. Each class is highly informative, hands-on and intimate (limited to maximum 12 people). Daniel and his team of experienced chefs teach intricate Thai cuisine in a simple, approachable way, enabling you to recreate delicious Thai dishes at home to impress family and friends. Within just 10 minutes drive of Spicers Tamarind there is a world of wonderful things to discover. -Explore the village of Montville just a short stroll away. Fondly known as the creative heart of the Sunshine Coast, Montville is home to a range of quality art galleries, craft shops, fashion boutiques, restaurants and gift shops stocked with affordable, locally made items. Be careful - its quaint charm is addictive! -Go bushwalking in Kondalilla Falls National Park and take a dip in the rock pool at the top of the Falls. -Enjoy wine tasting at three local wineries. -Meander through the art and craft gallery trail. -Wonder at Mapleton Falls, the Lilyponds and forest walks.
