Grafton Cottage offers boutique accommodation in individually designed studio, 1 and 2 bedroom cedar chalets. All have en suites, spacious adjoining decks, and tea and coffee facilities, electric blankets, fridge, microwave, TV and toaster. Two Chalets are fully self-contained.
With on site staff catering to all your needs and daily housekeeping included in the room rate let us spoil you while you relax and leave your worries behind.

Being just over an hour from Auckland we are the ideal base for exploring the Coromandel Peninsula.

Getting There From Auckland: Take State Highway (SH) 1 on the Southern Motorway to Bombay, turn left onto SH2 and follow the signs to Thames via SH25. Cross the two way bridge into Thames, turn first right into Banks Street, then right into Parawai Rd. We are in Grafton Rd - 4th road on left. Drive to the top and on the right is Grafton Cottage. Take the second exit on the right up the tree-lined drive.

From Coromandel: Drive through Thames and turn left into Bank Street at the Toyota factory, then right into Parawai Road.

From the South: Cross the two way bridge into Thames, turn first right into Bank Street, then right into Parawai Rd.

Experiencing the Coromandel is endlessly rewarding - allow at least a couple of days to appreciate the stunning coastline, beautiful beaches and diverse arts and crafts.

Explore an old goldmine, pottery, or a tropical butterfly sanctuary. Go fishing, hiking or bird watching. All of the holiday attractions are within easy reach of your accommodation at Grafton cottage. Return to your chalet at the end of each day and relax in the spa & pool.

Held every Saturday in Thames this market attracts hundreds of tourists and locals. While street musicians sing and play you can select vegetables and fruit gathered earlier in the day, browse the curio, craft and plant stalls, eat a hot mussel fritter and take away delicious baking.
