Things To Do If you take a leisurely walk along the waterfront it will take about 10 minutes to get you into the heart of Taupo shopping centre.

As Taupo is in the middle of the North Island it is your ideal location to base yourself to relax, enjoy or explore other areas, with day trips to Rotorua, Waitomo, Tongariro National Park, Ruapehu Ski Fields, the art deco area in Napier or the wine tasting areas in Hawkes Bay
