| Things To Do |
The hotel is located in the historical centre of the city, at just a few meters from the famous Valencian Cathedral in front of the National Ceramic Museum also known as the “Palacio Marques de Dos Aguas”. It is also very close to the town hall and the principal commercial zone where various shopping centres and “Corte Ingles” department stores can be found. Various of the most important historic buildings can be found near to the hotel for example; the “Lonja” building, the Central Market, the Old City Gates and the Serrano and Quart Torres, including the main theatres, Olimpia and Principal. The hotel has a very good connection with the “City of Arts and Sciences”, the “Reina Sofia Opera Palace”, the Congress Palace, the Trade Fair grounds and the new city Zoo; the “Bioparc”. All entry tickets to the mentioned places may be bought in the reception. From the hotel you may explore the most commercial district of Valencia, bars, restaurants and cafes which are all just a stones throw away. We recommend a visit to one of the most famous ceramic factories in the world found in Valencia; Lladró. You may also visit on on the best Librarys in the city; “San Miguel de los Reyes” which is located in an old monastery of the same name. Gastronomy here is dominated by rice, the main ingredient of the famous paella, in all of its versions. Activities: Live the festival of the "Fallas", which peaks at the moment when more than 300 monuments of the "Fallas" displays all around the city are lit. Because Valencia is simply surprising. It’s so easy to get into the swing of things, so here are a few activities to try out… Find out about the history of the city and its monuments in a horse-and-carriage tour or use the Tourist Bus, both starting from the Plaza de la Reina… Take a strolling tour of the cultural sites… Hop on a Tram and head down to the Las Arenas or Malvarrosa beaches… Try our traditional gastronomy at the restaurants on the Seafront Promenade. Visit the City of the Arts and Sciences and discover the future… Maybe find some time for shopping in the centre of town, or visit The City of Porcelain to see how the famous porcelain sculptures are made… If you’re looking for nature, take a boat ride around the Albufera lagoon. In the evening, you’ve got music, dancing and lots of nightlife on the terrace bars around town. On a different note, check out the intensive cultural agenda for the July Fair, with the International Music Band Competition, bullfights, fireworks displays, and lots of artistic shows in the Viveros park and the traditional “Battle of Flowers”… |
