Pioneer Village is a Dimidium Workforce Village. Dimidium understands how essential it is for all guests to be provided with clean, hassle-free, easily accessible food and accommodation facilities. Pioneer Village features modern ensuite rooms with king single beds, Austar, wireless internet (small charge), gym and recreation room (all air conditioned) featuring a billiard table, darts, comfortable recliners and a large screen TV. Ice making and vending machines are also available. Feeling hungry? Let our Chefs come to your assistance with healthy buffet style meals featuring an all you can eat breakfast and dinner menu including dessert. Lunch provisions are also available as are BBQ packs by arrangement. (Please note: meals are currently being served off site, approx 1km from Pioneer Village. This is a temporary arrangemet until early 2010). Guests also have free use of the swimming pool located in the adjacent caravan park for a refreshing cool off at the end of the day. With landscaped gardens, covered walkways and plenty of free car parking, Pioneer Village is your ideal base when visiting the Surat Basin region. Dalby is located near the beautiful Bunya Mountains, the famous Jondaryn Woolshed and is close to Jimbour House, a stunning historic building with walking tours, winery and restaurant. Pioneer Village is located within an easy five minute drive or 20 minute walk into town. Pioneer Village caters for long and short stay guests and can accommodate up to 150 people. |

| Getting There |
Approaching Dalby from Brisbane: Continue through Dalby towards Chinchilla on the Warrego Hwy and cross the railway line. You will then enter an 80km speed zone. The next turn to the left is Black Street. Pioneer Village is located on the right approx. 100m down Black Street, next to the caravan park. Approaching Dalby from Chinchilla: Enter 80km speed zone. Look for the Caltex Service Station on your left as you approach Dalby. The next turn to the right is Black Street. Pioneer Village is located on the right approx. 100m down Black Street, next to the caravan park. Approaching Dalby on Moonie Hwy: Enter 60km zone. Turn left into Dixon Street. Continue along Dixon Street around the right hand bend, Black Street is on your left. Continue along Black Street, over the railway crossing. Pioneer Village is on your left approx. 100m from the railway crossing. |

| Things To Do |
The Australian Cottonweek Festival The Festival offers a great variety of entertainment including the unique cotton picker pulling competition and billy kart racing at the family BBQ as well as a national cotton fashions, awards, dinner and race day. Pioneer Park Museum Historic buildings with displays of houshold and agricutltural items and a craft shop. The Museum also hosts an anuual field day each May. Cultural and Administration Centre Incorporating theatre, cinema, restaurant and regional art gallery. Thomas Jack Park Picturesque Thomas Jack Park, a good place for a picnic or stroll. The Visitors Information Centre is also located here. Myall Creek Crossing on Myall Creek, site of the campsite of Henry Dennis, the first settler in the area. He is also marked by a monument at the Edward Street Weir. Jimbour House Located 27km from Dalby, Jimbour House is a magnificent stately home, built in the 1870's with beautiful grounds. Open to the public. Bunya Mountains National Park Located 54km from Dalby is Bunya Mountains National Park. Scenic walking rails, wildlife and birdlife, and range of accommodation from campsites to private guesthouses. Lake Broadwater 27km from Dalby on the Moonie Highway is Lake Broadwater. Great for bird watching enthusiasts and also offers bushwalking, water sports and camping facilities. The lake's water level does vary and, at times, can be dry. |
