15-20 minutes south of airport, Hurstville is the nearest train station. If driving from Sydney, take Route 1 South (becomes Princes Highway) and turn right at Woniora Road. If coming from the south, simply head north along Princes Highway and turn left at Woniora Road. |

Blakehurst is close to the cafes of Brighton Le Sands, ideal after strolling along the expansive Botany Bay beachfront. Alternatively, many of the well-regarded southern surfing beaches are nearby. The motel is only a 3 minute drive from the Beverley Park Golf Course, and less than half an hour from Australia's first National Park, the Royal National Park. Of course there is the gleaming city of Sydney, with its excellent shopping, museums and galleries. <B>La Perouse</B> Enjoy the famous weekend snake and reptile show. Learn about the culture of the first indigenous Australians at historic La Perouse on Botany Bay. Experience an Aboriginal guided tour of the area during the week, operating from Yarra Bay House. Visit the La Perouse Museum, with relics and antique maps, as well as an Aboriginal gallery. Take in the spectacular views of Botany Bay from the Endeavour Lighthouse. Join a boat trip from La Perouse Park to Bare Island and its Fort. The island is now connected to the mainland, and is where parts of Mission Impossible 2 were shot. Dine on the enormous verandah of the cosy waterfront Boatshed Cafe over looking Frenchman's Bay. Enjoy a picnic or swim at one of the tranquil bays surrounding La Perouse. View the Macquarie Watchtower, the oldest existing building on the Bay's shores, erected to house the soldiers attempting to control smuggling and other activities of ships entering the Bay. Take a scenic coastal walk along the cliff face of Botany Bay National Park enjoying the wonderful ocean views, rock pools and flora and fauna. <B>Sutherland</B> Walk on the spot where James Cook landed.
