In a spectacular position overlooking the sea, the Hotel Miramalfi offers a magnificent view of Amalfi. The Hotel has 2 restaurants (one in the main building and the other at sea level), a private car-park, and Internet point. A lift leads directly to the private beach and sea-water swimming pool. All rooms have private terrace with sea view, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, mini-bar, safe and hair-dryer. The restaurant boasts a spectacular, incomparable view of Amalfi. It is air-conditioned and the glass walls on three sides give guests the feeling of being suspended above the sea. During the summer season, guests can choose to dine by candlelight on the marvellous terrace perched above the sea. On some days of the week, dining pleasure is enhanced with live musical entertainment. In the kitchen, our young brigade of chefs prepares dishes that infuse traditional local cuisine with creativity and imagination. All of the rooms have balconies or terraces facing the sea. The rattan furnishings reflect the typical blue and green colours of the coast, as do the floor tiles from Vietri. Each of the rooms has modern facilities and, in the superior rooms and suites, Jacuzzi. Extra beds can be provided on request in nearly all of the rooms. We offer communicating rooms to families with children. A large and sunny outdoor swimming pool with beach umbrellas and beds is available during the summer. |

| Getting There |
By car From either north or south, take the A3 Napoli - Salerno motorway, following the directions for the Costiera Amalfitana until the exit for Vietri sul Mare. Then follow state highway SS 163. You will pass through the towns of Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori and Minori before arriving in Amalfi. The Hotel is in Via Quasimodo. By train From anywhere, arrive at the Salerno train station. From here, take the bus to Amalfi (the trip takes about 1 hour). From the bus station, the hotel is just a 5 minute walk. By plane The closest airport to the Hotel Miramalfi is Naples Capodichino International Airport, which is 62 km from Amalfi. Bus departing from the Arrival terminal connect the airport to Naples, Salerno and Sorrento, and from there to Amalfi. By sea From Naples' Beverello Wharf, the pier in front of Castel Nuovo, from May to October, daily runs by boat to Amalfi (Metrò del Mare). From Salerno, fast ferries. Main companies: Cooperativa Sant'Andrea, Metrò del Mare and Alicost. |

Stretching about 50km along the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula, most famous for the town of Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast (Costiera Amalfitana) is one of Europe’s most breathtaking. Cliffs terraced with scented lemon groves sheer down into sparkling seas; whitewashed villas cling precariously to unforgiving slopes while sea and sky merge in one vast blue horizon. For centuries after the passing of Amalfi’s glory days as a maritime superpower (from the 9th to the 12th centuries), the area was poor and its isolated villages regular victims of foreign incursions, earthquakes and landslides. But it was this very isolation that first drew visitors in the early 1900s, paving the way for the advent of tourism in the latter half of the century. Today the Amalfi Coast is one of Italy’s top tourist destinations, a favourite of well-to-do jet-setters and couples seeking romance. |
