Less than an hour from downtown Auckland – but a world away!

Te Whau Lodge on Waiheke Island is a boutique 5 star guest lodge providing a laid back island escape. Designed in a contemporary NZ style, the Lodge features lots of timber, glass and corrugated iron and maximizes the jaw-dropping panoramic views while blending seamlessly into its surroundings.

The Lodge has earned a well deserved reputation for its superior accommodation with glorious views and exceptional gourmet cuisine. Many of the Lodge’s international and local guests have enjoyed return visits and it has featured in the Frommer’s Guide as one of the Best Boutique Hotels and Small Lodges in New Zealand.

The 4 luxury guest rooms all have ensuite bathrooms and private balconies with spectacular rural and water views. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor hot tub – with views out over the bay, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the spectacular sunsets.
In summer the large decks off the guest lounge are a stunning spot to relax and enjoy a drink, while in winter, the leather couches and roaring fire inside are equally as enjoyable.

Join your hosts for pre-dinner canapés in the evening before visiting one of the great restaurants nearby or you might like to book dinner at Te Whau Lodge. Te Whau Lodge is fully licensed and much of the produce featured on the menu is sourced locally with the Lodge gardens supplying many of the herbs and seasonal vegetables.

A plat du jour dinner is served dinner party style around one table from an ever changing menu enjoyed by an ever changing mix of guests - fine food and wine and conversation are the hallmarks of the Te Whau Lodge experience. Let your hosts know in advance if you would like to book dinner at the Lodge ($60.00 per person excluding wine).
