CONCEPT: Inspired by the success of its sister properties, SALA Samui and SALA Phuket, sala khaoyai resort is the newest addition to the SALA Resorts and Spas family. sala khaoyai is the first of a new “small exclusive boutique property” brand for the company. This unique resort is dramatically perched on a scenic hilltop above the lush, green Khao Yai countryside. The sala khaoyai surrounding area has been made even more lush and green by the planting a variety of over 5000 new trees on the site. This very private resort consists of only 7 stylish guest rooms, including 2 sala Pool Villas and 2 Pool Villa Suites, each with its own private swimming pool and fireplace. All rooms have breathtaking views across the gently sloping hills and valleys of beautiful Khaoyai. In addition to the 7 private guest accommodations, the resort also features the enchanting sala hilltop restaurant and bar, with panoramic 360 degree views of the surrounding area. The Chef has developed a private vegetable garden (guided tours are available for guests), where a variety of organic vegetables and hot local chillies will be grown and served fresh daily in the restaurant. County style cooking and home-grown local wines (in addition to a plentiful international selection), will make for a relaxing, enjoyable sala dining experience. Next to the restaurant is a stunning infinity edge swimming pool with spectacular elevated views of romantic Khao Yai sunsets. In-room and poolside sala spa treatments are available. Additionally, guests will appreciate the resort’s unique, attractive design; modern facilities and amenities with a hint of a safari style feeling. Natural wood and leather materials are prevalent. An interesting feature of the villas is the “underground” atmosphere inside the villa bedrooms, created by partially carving the villas directly into the mountainside, thus preserving the panoramic views from the main building, restaurant and swimming pool. Additionally, each villa has a unique, scenic open-air rooftop deck. LOCATION: The resort is located in the heart of Nakorn Ratchasima (Korat) province, just a 2 1/2 hour drive from Bangkok and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport. |
