Roma Mid-Town Motor Inn is a AAA 4 star rated property situated in a quiet location 75 metres off the Highway, built in the Colonial style opposite the new Roma Cultural Centre. We have nineteen ground floor non-smoking rooms and we are only a short walk from the main shopping centre. Restaurants, hotels, clubs and supermarkets are all located within a short walk from the property. Roma cinema and Bogarts Restaurant is only two doors away. Roma is the unofficial capital of the western downs and is the set off point for the beautiful Carnarvon Gorge – a great place to base your stay in this fascinating region. While in Roma visit the award winning Big Rig tourist centre, have a day at the races at Roma Turf Club and be sure to be here during Roma's Easter in the Country which features concerts, art exhibitions and street parades as well as entertainment and novelty events. Roma also boasts the largest cattle saleyards in the southern hemisphere with auctions every Tuesday and Thursday. |

| Getting There |
McDonald’s Restaurant is situated on the corner of the main Warrego Highway and Hawthorne Street and is the easiest landmark to find the Roma Mid-Town Motor Inn. Turn into Hawthorne St at McDonald's - coming from Miles turn right and if coming from Injune or Mitchell turn left. Roma Airport is only a short drive from the Motel and hire cars are available. The town is serviced by Qantaslink from Brisbane with two flights most days and three on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Greyhound Bus Lines service Roma regularly and the terminal is only a short walk from the property. Roma Taxis operate within the town 7 days a week. Queensland Rail's Westlander services Roma. This scenic trip arrives via the Darling downs and across the Great Dividing Range. |

| Things To Do |
Visit The Big Rig, an interactive Interpretation of Australia’s oil and gas industry. They also host The Big Rig Night Show – a 30 minute audiovisual spectacular. Roma Turf Club conducts the Roma Picnic Races in March and the Roma Cup in November each year and is situated at historic Bassett Park. The Hero's Avenue is a heritage listed walk featuring 100 Bottle Trees; each a memorial to soldiers who lost their lives in World War one. Roma's Easter in the Country is not to be missed and features concerts, art exhibitions and street parades as well as entertainment and novelty events. Roma boasts the largest cattle saleyards in the southern hemisphere with auctions every Tuesday and Thursday. Trek along the Adungadoo Pathway, a 1.7km pathway along Bungle Creek. The pathway is most enjoyable early in the morning and late afternoon. Roma Villa winery is only a short drive from the motel and is open Monday to Saturday. Visit Mount Abundance homestead which was built in 1860and is the site of the first settlement in the region. Lenroy Slab Hut, built in 1893, is a well preserved slab hut built completely by hand from local timber to house a family of 12. Bicentennial Ceramic Mural - Located in the cultural centre this audio and moving light presentation depicts the exploration and development of the town and surrounding district. Roma Cinema is two doors from the Motel in Hawthorne Street. Roma Community Arts Centre and Library is located directly across the street from our property. |
