Taupo is centrally located in the North Island of New Zealand, approximately 3.5 hours drive south of Auckland, 2 from Hamilton and 5 hours drive north of Wellington. From Taupo town centre head south on Tongariro Street toward the lake front. Turn left onto Lake Terrace and follow Lake Terrace for approx 2.5km. Turn left onto SH5, Napier – Taupo Highway. Hilton Lake Taupo is situated 1km along the Napier – Taupo Highway on the left handside. Taupo Airport is located 10min south of the hotel and is served by direct flights from Auckland and Wellington. Rotorua International airport, located 45mins drive from Taupo offers direct national and international flights. |
