Licensed restaurant serving breakfast and dinner to guests as required. Bakery/cafe, open seven days, also on property with sales of local and regional produce and wines available for sale and tastings. Stone Hut is quiet and peaceful but only 8kms from the township of Laura to the south and Wirrabara to the north. |

| Getting There |
By car it is a 2½ hour leisurely drive north of Adelaide on Main North Road through Clare. Continue north along Main North Road till you arrive at the township of Laura. The village of Stone Hut is only 8kms north of Laura and you will find the cottages and the Old Bakery situated at the north end of the township on the Main North Road. |

| Things To Do |
This beautiful part of the Southern Flinders Ranges is well known for its wonderful walking and cycle tracks Mawson and Heysen Trails and its beautiful scenic drives, country hospitality, and it's pioneer history. Stone Hut itself has a heritage walking track around the township and a superb photo shoot at the lookout above the township to the east, an easy walk from the cottages. There is the historic Wirrabara Forest an easy 10km from Stone Hut with its old nursery, delightful walks and picnic ground. Stone Hut is really the hub of this region being central to the townships of Gladstone and Laura to the south and Wirrabara, Melrose and Wilmington to the North. For the history buffs there is the old Gladstone gaol, Melrose Courthouse museum and for the active there are many walking and cycling tracks within this region. Alligator Gorge, Apilla Springs and Germein Gorge Road are some of the scenic drives one can take. The Southern Flinders is now a recognised wine region and there are several vineyards offering wine sales and tastings including the Old Bakery at Stone Hut where you can sample and buy regional wines and produce. There are two golf courses within 8kms of Stone Hut at Wirrabar and Laura. Antique shops, country pubs, and a relaxing way of life are some of the things you can sample when you stay with us. |
