The Casa Lia is a recently restored, bright and sunny apartment that overlooks a typical canal in the lively district of Santa Croce. A few minutes from St. Giacomo dell'Orio, the area boasts many bacari, small restaurants and local shops. The Venetian elegance of the mosaic floors, Murano chandeliers and ancient furniture contrasts perfectly with the modernity and functionality of the kitchen and bathrooms in this handsome apartment. The wide entrance leads on to a pleasant living room furnished with white couches, a dining table for eight people and a 19th century dresser. There is a modern, fully-equipped kitchenette with four gas hobs, a fridge, freezer and electric oven. The main bedroom has a large, double bed and access on to a small balcony, there is also the second double bedroom and a lounge with a double sofa bed and another bedroom with a romantic, iron-beaten, white, double bed. The apartment has two bathrooms, one with a bathtub, the other with a shower; and a laundry room. The apartment has independent heating for comfort during the cold season. The apartment is located at the third floor without lift. |

From Treviso airport: Bus shuttle to Venice Piazzale Roma and then Vaporetto boat line 1, stop Riva de Biasio. |
| Parking |
The only places to park the car in Venice is Piazzale Roma car park or Tronchetto car park. A cheaper solution is to park the car in Mestre, where it is possible to find good parking areas in front of the train station and then to take the bus or the train to Venice (about 10 minutes trip). |

Sestiere Santa Croce is an attractive area that runs along the bank of the Canal Grande, in a quiet area that is inhabited predominantly by Venetians. Just a few minutes' walk away are Campo St. Giacomo dell'Orio, Campo Santa Margherita, Frari Church and Piazzale Roma, which benefits from good restaurants, pubs and cafes. You can also reach San Marco in 10 minutes by crossing Rialto Bridge. |
