This is one of Australia’s hidden gems, a truly exceptional experience that invites a select few at a time to partake in pristine nature. Off the Capricorn Coast near Yeppoon, Pumpkin Island is a sparkling jewel nestled within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Alluring solitude, 360 degree views, bare beaches and an element of fantasy are all on offer when you visit Pumpkin Island in beautiful Keppel Bay. Spectacular sunsets (and sunrises for the early birds), peace and solitude are a certainty. Here you will find just five very stylish, eco-friendly self-catering cottages powered by wind and sun, overlooking a crystalline beach. Each accommodates between four and eight guests (with a maximum of 30 guests on the island at any one time) and is fully self-contained, very contemporary in flair and nicely separate from each other. A Private Chef can be arranged by prior notice for your entire stay should you wish to take a complete break from the kitchen. There is so much to do on this island treasure: harvest your own oysters off the rocks, fish the rich waters, snorkel or experience the coral reefs from a glass bottom kayak. And of course, there are secluded beaches to wander or the sublime pleasure of simply gazing at the horizon whale spotting. Pumpkin Island is wonderful for families, utterly romantic for a couple (including honeymooners), and a hoot for a group of friends – and for overseas guests this is the unspoilt paradise you long to find Down Under. With a year round warm tropical climate Pumpkin Island is an almost untouched paradise on earth. |

Pebble Point
Pebble Point,our luxury cottage, is located on the beautiful pebbled beach on the northern point of Pumpkin Island. The deck features a small freshwater splash pool along with an internal/external bar where you can enjoy the sunsets overlooking the ocean. Rates are for 4 people. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

Coco Pine is located between beautiful Norfolk Pine and Coconut trees. An incredible place to be at whilst the wind gently whispers through the branches of the Norfolk Pines, creating a soothing sound along with the rippling waves on the water’s edge. Oyster Box is situated in one of the most beautiful places on the Island and is in close proximity to the tasty oysters you’ll find growing on the rocks. Tropical Tides is located close to the main beach and beach hut, overlooking the bay back to Yeppoon. The night lights and sunsets over Yeppoon are simply magical. | Getting There |
Transfers from Yeppoon’s Keppel Bay Marina (red wharf to the right of the restaurant) to Pumpkin Island are offered on our island transfer service called the Pumpkin Xpress... Pumpkin Xpress gets you to the island with less hassle and more fun for a small fee of $45 per person one way. Holding up to 20 people, the Pumpkin Xpress takes 45 minutes to reach the island. Pumpkin Xpress’ arrival and departure times are flexible but do vary according to the tides. Transfers from Pumpkin Xpress ashore are undertaken by way of our transfer vessel. To assist in maintaining the pristine eco friendly environment, Pumpkin Island has no jetty facilities, so getting your feet wet will be part of the experience. As an alternative, there is the option of cruising your own yacht or boat directly to the island. Feel free to discuss with or ask our Pumpkin Island team for anchorage advice. Passengers of the Pumpkin Xpress may also tow their own tinnie to the island for a small fee. Helicopter transfers available on request. |

Keppel Security Car Park provides guests with both short term and long term secure car parking. They have drop off and pick-up facilities available. |
