| Getting There |
By Bus/Shuttle: Local Connectabus leaves from the Airport twice every hour at 23mins and 53mins past the hour and is $6 to YHA Queenstown Lakefront on a request stop. Let the Driver know that you wish to be dropped off at the YHA on Lake Esplanade and not the YHA on Shotover street. Super Shuttle picks up at the Airport around flight arrival times for $20 and will drop you off outside the Hostel. Taxi will cost from $35. By Car: Continue along highway 6 until you reach the Frankton Roundabout with a BP Station on the corner. At the Frankton roundabout take the turning onto Frankton Road (route 6a). Lake Wakatipu is visible on your left on this scenic drive in. Continue along Frankton Road for 15mins, which then naturally turns right into Stanley street down the hill into the town centre. At the Second roundabout on Stanley Street take a left onto Shotover Street and continue over the next two roundabouts until it naturally turns left into Lake Esplanade. Continue along Lake Esplanade (Lake Wakatipu is on your left) for 5 minutes, the YHA Queenstown Lakefront is on your right before the Fernhill roundabout. There is a small car park to pull into or off street parking. From Airport by car, go along Airport Avenue and take a right at the roundabout onto Lucas Place. At the next roundabout take a right onto Kawarau Road (Route 6) until you get to the Frankton Roundabout with the BP Station ahead of you. Turn right onto Frankton Road and follow as above. |

| Things To Do |
Have a Queenstown adventure: bungy jumping, skydiving, white water rafting, jetboating, hang-gliding, luging and canyoning can all be experienced in Queenstown. In winter go skiing at nearby Coronet Peak, The Remarkables or Cardrona ski fields. Take a day trip from Queenstown to the magical Milford Sounds or Doubtful Sounds. Tour the Central Otago region’s many award-winning wineries and taste a drop or two. Eat, drink and be merry at possibly the best selection of restaurants and bars in New Zealand outside of Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington. |
