Set in the heart of Queenstown, New Zealand's premier four season lake and alpine resort, Central Ridge Boutique Hotel is a 13 room, three level, luxury hotel offering a warm inviting atmosphere and personalised service at its best. The hotel is located in a quiet, picturesque setting adjacent to Queenstown Gardens, yet only a three minute stroll from lively central Queenstown. Our range of competitively priced accommodation suits all different budgets. You can choose from luxury rooms with balconies and views of Bob's Peak, deluxe rooms with private patio and garden views or our comfortable standard rooms. Our friendly and professional team are handpicked for their local knowledge, service skills, absolute discretion, and sincere interest in making your visit a success. When staying with us you can enjoy as much privacy or social interaction as you wish. Each evening we host our famous 'Happy Hour' in the cosy guest lounge so our guests can meet and mingle while enjoying wine tasting and complimentary canapes. Perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure and exploration in our beautiful corner of the world! 01/10/08 Lonely Planet Review (Queenstown Accommodation - Authors Pick) "With just 14 rooms, the staff at this elegant boutique hotel have plenty of opportunity to look after the lucky guests. They don't overdo things though, and the service is always warmly personal and professionally unobtrusive. Visitors rave about Central Ridge's breakfasts but there's plenty more to be effusive about, like pre-dinner canapes with Central Otago wines, underfloor heating and spacious, modern bathrooms. Luxury touches include mohair throws and crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen. Romantic two-person spa baths just made for candlelit assignations feature in a few more expensive suites. The guest-lounge-meets-library is perfect for recounting the day's stories of adventure sports, and when the sun shines (quite a regular occurrence in Central Otago), breakfast is served al fresco. The centre of town is just a short walk away through the pretty Queenstown Gardens." – Review by author Brett Atkinson |

Location Queenstown is in the centre of the South Island, about 3/4 of the way down. It rests 310 metres above sea level in the Southern Alps beside the shores of Lake Wakatipu. Lake Wakatipu is New Zealand's 3rd largest lake and deeper than sea level at 335 metres deep. Queenstown has received accolades from around the world as a top rate destination. In 1999 the resort was voted the world's 3rd best value destination in Travel & Leisure, USA, and in 1998, voted Friendliest Foreign City in Conde Nast Traveler, USA. Queenstown is the adventure capital of the world with bungy jumping, rafting, jetboating, ski/boarding, river surfing, fly by wire, canyoning, etc. It also offers soft adventure options such as 4WD safari, scenic flights, horse treks, tramping, steam boats and trains, etc. If that is not enough, there are 4 top golf courses, some of New Zealand's best fresh water fishing, award winning vineyards, café's and restaurants, and a multitude of gardens, galleries and craft shops to visit. |
