The Old Picture Theatre operated as a picture theatre until the early 1970’s. It is the only purpose-built timber picture theatre left in Western Australia. It is Ideally located in the town centre. The accommodation features some of the original fittings of the old Picture Theatre, while enjoying modern conveniences such as reverse-cycle air conditioning and a dishwasher. The spacious 4.5 star rating self-contained apartments and Adyar Cottage (originally a group settlement home) have fantastic facilities and all have access to a barbecue, guest laundry and spa in the amenities building. Admire the original polished jarrah floor boards, stained glass doors, jarrah wash stands, timber dados, period skirting boards, high ceilings, decorative cornices and ceiling roses of a past era, while enjoying the convenience of modern appointments such as reverse-cycle air conditioning, television, DVD player, microwave oven and dishwasher. Each apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with a full-sized fridge and gas hot plates, extensive living areas, dining area and a large bathroom (approx. 70 sq metres total area). The high standards of furniture and fittings add to the atmosphere of luxury and quality. The kitchen cupboards are solid jarrah and the bedrooms feature queen size brass beds with orthopaedic mattresses and crisp white sheets. The apartments are fully equipped for self catering with ample cooking utensils and quality cutlery, crockery and glassware. The 4 apartments are named after the parts of a cinema - Projection (2 queens size bedrooms and 1 single bedroom), Lounge (1 queen size bedroom and 2 singles in the other bedroom)), Dress Circle (2 queen size bedrooms) and Stage (1 queen size bedroom). Adyar Cottage can sleep up to 7 with 2 queen size bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and a double sofa bed. The facilities feature fully equipped kitchens for self catering plus extensive living areas, dining area and a large bathroom. The Stage and Adyar Cottage have their own personal spas. |

Adyar Cottage
The restored original owner's residence has three bedrooms (2QS and 1 single), full kitchen, extensive living area with wood fire, luxury bathroom with spa-size corner bath and two toilets. Adyar Cottage sleeps seven with a double sofa bed in the lounge. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $20.00. Extra children $20.00. The room caters for a maximum of 7 adults, and a maximum of 4 children but cannot exceed 7 guests in total. Available bedding configurations:

A deluxe, split level, one bedroom apartment with a separate spa room built into the original stage of the picture theatre. An apartment designed for one or two couples with a luxurious, queen size brass bed in each of the two large bedrooms. It also features a large bathroom and separate toilet off a small corridor. | Getting There |
Only 4 hours drive from Perth, Pemberton is a very central base in the South West area. A regular Trans WA bus service connects Pemberton to Perth, Albany, Bunbury and Augusta. The "Old Picture Theatre" Apartments are a short walk from the bus terminal and pick up can be arranged. Located almost opposite the Post Office in Ellis Street (off the main Brockman street of Pemberton), the apartments are a short walk to the supermarket, shops, cafes, restaurants and the Pemberton Hotel. |

The apartments are within walking distance of woodcraft and art galleries, wineries and tourist attractions such as the Gloucester Tree and the Pemberton Tramway. The central town location provides an excellent base for day trips to the National Parks and tourist attractions which are all close to town or the Tree Top Walk which is only a leisurely 90 minute drive through magnificent countryside.
