Located in the heart of the Wild Scotsman country, between Childers and Miriamvale and one hour west of Bundaberg in the town of Gin Gin, Lake Monduran Holiday Park is a great holiday destination for those who enjoy big barramundi fishing, boating and kayaking in a family friendly environment. The holiday park is a hidden treasure; just a short 4km drive from the Bruce highway and you’ll find a range of accommodation and leisure options to choose from. There are deluxe self-contained cabins overlooking the beautiful lake which sleep up to 5, or a three bedroom holiday house perfect for larger families. In a natural bush setting with abundant birdlife, there is plenty of powered and camping sites; a true camping experience. There’s a fish cleaning table, picnic areas, electric bbq’s, amenities, camp kitchens and an onsite kiosk which stocks a range of basic groceries plus bait, tackle, ice and gas. You can also catch up on emails with our free wireless internet, but don’t forget to bring your laptop. During the busier periods, we run onsite entertainment for the whole family which often includes movies under the stars and a disco, but check with reception for more details. Whether you’re after water views or a bush setting, a true camping experience or a little more comfort in our cabins, Lake Monduran offers something for everyone. While on holidays, hire a big barra boat or book a charter with our fishing guide and experience the best of South East Queensland’s barramundi fishing – some fish being caught are well over the metre mark. The lake is also stocked with Australian Bass, Golden Perch, Saratoga and Silver Perch. Take a bush walk on many of the tracks that surround the park and keep a look out for our abundant wildlife or sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet with a good book and glass of wine from the comfort of your campsite or cabin. Head out for a tourist drive throughout the region; visit the Bundaberg Rum distillery, Boolboonda tunnel, art galleries, or the many local wineries. Lake Monduran Holiday Park is really the perfect base for exploring the region, relaxing with friends and family and enjoying one of Queensland’s best barramundi fishing locations! |
