Cascades Motor Lodge is situated on the lake edge in Taupo. Our stunning lake front apartment enjoys panoramic views across the lake to the mountains and all units have close proximity to a lovely swimming beach, and paved walkways around the lake edge. Each unit contains kitchen facilities, and en suite bathrooms have a spa bath. Spacious family units open on to either a private patio garden, or directly on to the heated swimming pool. Good sized studio units each have a kitchenette with a microwave and cooktop elements, a spa bath in the en suite bathroom, and are either downstairs, or upstairs opening onto a sunny deck with some lake views. The heated outdoor swimming pool is available all year round, and there is also a guest laundry. The motel offers quiet, peaceful surroundings, in a uniquely designed building with lots of parking for boats etc. There are good restaurants, family or fine dining, close by (within walking distance), and cooked or continental breakfasts can be delivered to your room if required. |

Rates are for 2 people. NZ$20 for extra guest payable to hotel. Upstairs mezzanine has 2 or 3 single beds. Downstairs has Queen bed with ensuite bathroom with spa bath, kitchen, living area with french doors opening on to garden or pool area. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $20.00. Extra children $20.00. The room caters for a maximum of 5 adults, and a maximum of 4 children but cannot exceed 5 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

| Getting There |
Cascades Motor Lodge is 3km from the main shopping area of Taupo, situated on the lake front side of the main road through Taupo. Our address is 303 Lake Terrace, Taupo. Please advise if you will be arriving later than 9pm by ringing our number supplied on your booking confirmation. If you are driving south from Auckland, you should allow about four hours for your journey. If you are coming north from Wellington, you need to allow five hours for your journey. Taupo is on the main State Highway 1 coming from either of these main cities. |

| Things To Do |
Taupo is centrally located to visit other areas. We are 50 minutes from Rotorua, less than two hours to Napier and the east coast, and less than an hour to the ski fields. Taupo is an ideal place to stay for skiing, and we can provide lots of alternative activities if the ski fields are closed. Staff at Cascades are happy to help you plan your stay. There is golf, boating, scenic cruising, fishing, skiing, horse trekking, mountain biking, tramping, bungy jumping, tandem skydiving, parasailing, scenic flights - lots of activities to fill your days after you have sampled some of the fabulous cafes and shopping around the town. We can also organise transport to the ski fields and the Tongariro Crossing if needed. |
