Half way between Strasbourg and Colmar, the Hotel of the Château d'Andlau is located two kilometres from Barr, in the direction of the Mount Sainte Odile. At the heart of the Alsatian vineyards, the hotel lies in a spectacular valley with a river just flowing alongside and forest in the background. The property is of Alsatian style with colombages, spreading over one hectare and framed by a 70-acre ornamental garden and century old pine trees providing a home for birds and squirrels, the Kirneck river flows by the foot of the hotel filled with wild trout proving the quality of the water. In addition, access to nature is direct via the numerous walking and mountain bike routes not far from the hotel. This tranquility of this location has earned it the "Logis Nature et Silence" label (Nature and Tranquility Logis accomodation). We are also at your disposal for any further information required to organise your stay (visits, circuits, walks...). The hotel has 22 rooms; all of them include bathroom, toilet, satellite television, safe deposit box, Wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi) and direct dial telephone. Some of them have a balcony or a private lounge, with a view over the park or the river. The most are non-smoking ones. Other services at your disposal include : A free enclosed car park for your vehicle. This car park is closed at night. A few garages for cars or motorcycles (a fee will be charged) and bikes (free). An ornamental garden and a patio at the edge of the river available in warm weather. A mini bar and a radio in some of the rooms. A hairdryer and a magnifying mirror in the bathrooms. A hotel boutique with some show-windows with potteries from Soufflenheim, marquetry, the art of entertaining (preparing and presenting food), decoration and items for children. The Restaurant du Château d’Andlau offers you a varied and inventive gastronomy, elaborated with fresh and in season ingredients. The dining-room has been renovated recently so that you can immerse yourself in the Alsace at the beginning of the 20th Century thanks to the famous Hansi’s engravings (Jean-Jacques WALTZ, alias Hansi, a famous drawer and artist from Alsace 1873-1951...) You will be able to accompany your meals with the best grape varieties and appellations of Alsace, France and of the whole world, thanks to our wine menu with almost 1,300 references. We are also available for any special requests: vegetarian meals, special diets… Parties, business, school friends, association, family, group gatherings…whatever the event, the Chef will receive you and can also organize meals with particular attention paid to the association of cuisine and wine (animated or not by a professional).
