No less than 6 stunning beaches are within easy reach by walk, bike or road. Our unique holiday park is in one of Australia's most desirable coastal destinations on the Mid North Coast 44 km south of Coffs Harbour and 144k’s north of Port Macquarie. What a fabulous holiday waterfront location! You can swim or fish in our lagoon, the pristine Nambucca River or the Pacific Ocean. They're all just a few steps from your cabin, caravan or camping site. Many of our vacation cabins and caravan sites enjoy a dress circle waterfront position with extended views out over the lagoon, ocean or river. And whatever your location within the White Albatross Holiday Centre, it's a short easy walk to a wide choice of Nambucca Heads cafes, restaurants and the V Wall Tavern is situated at our front gate so no need to drink and drive. Kids can fish, swim, kayak and sail in the lagoon or play in our fantastic Water Park here on site. We also provide a ½ tennis court, playground, and a well equipped games room and TV room. Nambucca Heads is famous for its long and level waterfront walks. The Graffiti wall starts right at our front door and you are welcome to add your own art work to this ever changing story. Almost three kilometres of completely level waterfront pathway which passes many beaches, cafes, parks, licensed clubs and licensed tavern. It's just another of our great vacation assets! Try your hand at fishing from the sea wall, boat or from the bank of the Nambucca River. Fishing licenses are available from Beachcomber Marine (open 7 days) situated in the car park of the RSL. Of course you will be able to get all your fishing tackle, baits and catch quota info from the team there as well. Licenses start from just $6.00 for a 3 day license but if you are under 18 or a pensioner, you can fish without a license. |

| Getting There |
The White Albatross Holiday Centre is situated at the mouth of the Nambucca River in Nambucca Heads. We are located just 3 km from the Pacific Highway on NSW’s mid North Coast. It is exactly halfway between Sydney and Brisbane along the Pacific Highway. Nambucca Heads lies 12 kilometres north of Macksville and 40 kilometres south of Coffs Harbour. If you are heading north, Nambucca Heads is situated approximately 50 minutes drive north of Kempsey and about 10 minutes north of Macksville. After reaching the 60 kph sign on the southern edge of Nambucca Heads, drive for about 600 metres passing the shopping mall on your left. Immediately turn right into Riverside Drive just before the Destiny Motor Inn. The Nambucca Valley Information Centre is on your right as you turn into Riverside Drive. *Proceed along Riverside Drive for about a kilometre until you reach a hill. Travel up hill for around 300 metres where you will see a large street sign on the corner below Neptune’s Seafood Restaurant showing Wellington Drive and listing the White Albatross Holiday Centre. Turn right into Wellington Drive just after Woolworths. Now wind your way down through a mini rainforest for 200 metres until you reach the flat ground again. Follow the road and river around a left hand curve. Continue on for another 600 metres, looking for the Large White Albatross Holiday Centre sign outside the V Wall Tavern then bear left beside a small park and concrete parking area. The entrance to White Albatross Caravan Park is just 100 metres ahead. If you are coming from the north, Nambucca Heads is situated approximately 35 minutes drive south of Coffs Harbour and about 17 minutes south of Urunga. Pass by the first left turn sign into Nambucca Heads and travel about two kilometres further on to the 60 kph speed sign. Turn left into Riverside Drive between Destiny Motor Inn on your left and the Nambucca Tourist Information Centre on your right. All our cabins have paved parking for one vehicle. Visitors to guests staying with us are required to park in the car park at the entrance to the Holiday Centre. |
| Things To Do |
-John Davies Rainforest Walk Nambucca Heads. The Nature Walks of Nambucca Heads meander through a regenerating remnant rainforest and are uniquely located in the midst of the residential area. The walks are not arduous, but why not linger a while as well, just sitting around relaxing and enjoying the magnificent natural environment of this unique coastal bush land, so close to town. While sitting quietly, look for the eastern yellow robin and the rufous fantail or some of the many other local and migratory birds that make this forest their home. While walking along, listen for the whip-bird and the cat-bird. Notice the changes in the vegetation, from the eucalyptus and brush box on the drier ridges to the many number of rainforest species as you move down the slopes to the wetter and more protected areas, finally reaching the melaleucas, figs and callistemons in the swampy parts. Be sure not to miss the pioneers’ well. -Nambucca Heads Historical Museum. Nambucca Heads Historical Museum offers a wealth of historical treasures in a scenic ocean setting. Combine a fascinating visit to the Museum with a stroll along the Headland and adjacent beaches. There is a visual and written history of the Nambucca Valley together with a comprehensive collection of historical photographs, documents and artifacts relating to: • timber • shipping • shipwrecks • WWI and WWII • early agricultural tours • 'Royal Tar" expedition to Paraguay • Aboriginal relics and photographs featuring the Gumbaynggir people • Display of china and ceramics, including the "Boulton Collection" • Fine needlework and garment display • Memorabilia of early Australian Households -Trent Munro Surf Academy - Surf Lessons - beginners, intermediate and advanced, we cover South West Rocks in the south to Valla Beach in the north! -The Pub With No Beer - Australia’s most famous pub, The Pub With No Beer, located at Taylors Arm (population 50) on the NSW Mid North Coast, has been dispensing beer for over 100 years. Legend has it, however, that it once ran out! Local timber cutter and song writer, Gordon Parsons, immortalised the story in what became one of Australia’s most famous songs, “A Pub With No Beer”, recorded by Slim Dusty. Passionate beer enthusiast, Murray Howe, bought the Pub in 2004 with a vision to create a world class craft brewing and beer tourism business. He launched his brewing company on New Year’s Eve 2005, and in its short life, Murray’s Craft Brewing Co. has released 8 craft beers and won numerous international beer awards.
