Welcome to Songbirds Rainforest Retreat Sometimes people need a break from it all - time to be surrounded by the forest; become immersed in beauty, indulge in fine food, relax and revive mind, body and soul. At Songbirds we take things slowly so guests have time to focus on the really important things - like getting ready for a massage; listening to the birds or choosing the wine to have with dinner. Our restaurant hours are: Mondays and Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday to Sunday: LUNCH from 12 noon Thursday to Saturday: DINNER from 6.00pm Songbirds has acres of rainforest walking tracks so guests can enjoy the abundant flora and fauna at their leisure. The Tamborine village shops, services, galleries and cafes are a five-minute drive or a half hour stroll from Songbirds. There are a number of boutique wineries and other attractions waiting to be discovered in the surrounding mountain villages. Songbirds Rainforest Retreat includes the multi-award winning Songbirds in the Forest Restaurant; six luxurious two person villas and more than 50 acres of pristine rainforest. Each beautifully appointed villa offers a king size bed, double spa bath, lounge area with a gas ember fire for cooler nights and a large outdoor deck. Facilities include direct dial phone, minibar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave oven, television with local channels and cable, DVD player and stereo. Songbirds is the only Mount Tamborine accommodation provider with cable television and guests may choose DVDs from the current selection. Guests can soothe the senses and invigorate the body with an exquisite therapeutic massage, take an individual yoga class, relax and revive or explore a multitude of activities and experiences at Mount Tamborine. When booking, please provide partners name as well as mobile number. |

| Getting There |
From Brisbane Take the South Beenleigh exit and follow the signs to Beaudesert bypassing Beenleigh CBD. Follow the road - a scenic 20 minutes drive - and look out for the Mount Tamborine sign at the bottom of the hill. The sign also shows the Bearded Dragon. Drive up the Tamborine Mountain Road passing Thunderbird Park and see Songbirds in the Forest clearly signposted on the right. From the Gold Coast Take Exit 57 Oxenford / Mount Tamborine turnoff from the main highway (Motorway 1). Follow the road to the top of the mountain and turn right at the roundabout showing Gallery Walk. At the end of Gallery Walk turn right at the next roundabout into Eagle Heights Road. Drive to T-junction and turn right following the Brisbane-Beaudesert sign. Songbirds is clearly indicated on the left about 1.25 kilometres from the T-junction. |
