By car: - motorway A23 AlpeAdria exit UDINE SUD; - drive along Via Pozzuolo the ring road up to the lights; - turn right and, after the second lights, turn left into via Lumignacco; - drive up up to Piazzale Cella; - follow indications for the station along Viale delle Ferriere and then Viale Europa Unita; - once you reach the station, turn left into Via Roma; - drive on up to crossroads, go straight into Via Carducci; - you will see the hotel entrance on your right, at number 46. By train: The hotel is not far from Udine station, about 400m. - from the main entrance of the station, cross the street and walk down Via Roma; - walk to the end of the street up to Piazza Repubblica; - cross the square and go straight into Via Carducci; - A few more steps and... you will find the elegant entrance of the hotel. By plane: A shuttle link is available between the airport of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Ronchi dei Legionari - GO) and Udine (about 50 minutes).For shuttle timetable, please click here and, in the next page, click on "Udine". The bus departs from the bus station, about 300 mts from the hotel. To walk from bus stop to the hotel, go along Viale Leopardi towards the city centre. Once you reach Piazza della Repubblica: - go into Viale Carducci; few more steps and... you will find the elegant entrance of the hotel. |

Udine is the historical capital of Friuli. Main sights are: Piazza della Libertà, 16th century Loggia di San Giovanni and the Torre dell’Orologio. Loggia del Lionello; Via Mercatovecchio, the main street in the city center; The old residence of the patriarchs of Aquileia, the palazzo Patriarchale; The church of Santa Maria della Purità has 18th-century frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo and his son Domenico; The church dedicated to St. Mary of the Castle, probably the oldest in Udine, judging from extant fragments dating back to the Lombard era; The Cathedral of Udine, an imposing edifice whose construction started in 1236, on a Latin cross-shaped plan with three naves and chapels along the sides; The castle, that houses one of the most ancient Parliament Halls of Europe. |
