Originally built in the 1880's, Merivale Manor is elegantly styled luxury accommodation in Merivale, Christchurch. Orginally known as 'Te Wepu', the two storey Victorian House with Italianate architectureal influences is listed by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust Pouhere Taonga as a Catergory II Historic Place. There are 10 rooms within the Manor each unique in their size and styled with king, queen or twin size beds. Each Manor room is self contained, and fully equipped including, electric hobs, microwave, seating area, DVD player, large plasma screen, Sky Digital, heatpump / airconditioning, and separate bathroom with shower. Manor rooms can easily accommodate the business traveller, couple or family and are available as 1 or 2 bedroom apartments. Located next to the Manor are 8 luxury studio units. All studio rooms are fully self contained, including electric hobs and microwave, plus a separate bathroom with a spa bath. All Manor rooms and studio units are decorated to the highest standard and offer luxury accommodation with the finest fixtures and finishes combining to make each room an elegant experience. Merivale Manor is situated in a great location a short stroll to central Merivale which offers premier shopping, wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes. We are located approximately 1.5kms from Christchurch Central, the Casino and Hagley Park. |
