Quy Nhon – Cat Hai Beach : Nature gifts Binh Dinh with generously sunny beaches with green water surface, lengthening from the center of Quy Nhon city towards the North East through Nhon Ly, Nhon Hoi (Quy Nhon), Cat Tien and Cat Hai (Phu Cat). It is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Southern Central region with ideal beaches such as Tan Thanh, Vinh Hoi and Trung Luong, attracting many tourists to visit and enjoy majestic nature, immense ocean with sand hills, islands full of winds and waves, and special local seafood. Ghenh Rang Hill Ghenh Rang Hill : located to the South East of Quy Nhon city; it is the national tourist spot and anatural piece of work with groups of mountainous stones alongside the sea. Here, stones and soil created blocks of hills, caves, sea gates with fresh air and beautiful scenery. So the King Bao Dai had chosen to be on holidays since 1927. Below the foot of Ghenh Rang, on the sea is the special beach with variety of round stones, which was the holiday place for only the Queen Nam Phuong so the beach is named Queen’s Beach. From the hillside, tourists can see the entire Eastern part of Quy Nhon city and further is Phuong Mai peninsula with the Thi Nai lagoon that looks like a Chinese ink drawing. And beside the hillside is the tomb of Han Mac Tu – a famous poet in the Vietnamese literature. Thi Nai Lagoon, Phuong Mai Peninsula: on the North East of Quy Nhon city, there is the Thi Nai lagoon which is the largest lagoon in Binh Dinh, more than 10km long and 4km wide with much well-known fresh, delicious and nutritious seafood. In the lagoon, close to the West bank, there is a small mountain – on which there is a small temple which was established by the villagers to worship the Water God. The mountain has the shape of an ancient house, namely the Thay Boi tower (it is due to the fact that many kingfishers gathering on the stones so the tower has that name), making the scenery of the lagoon more lively and attractive. Every morning, full moon nights spread over green seawater forests, making the lagoon surface is unclear and fanciful like a fairyland. On the East of the lagoon, the Phuong Mai peninsula looks like a huge protecting barrier to Quy Nhon city with many blocks of mountains projecting about 15km into the sea. The North of the peninsula and further to the North West are beautiful beaches reaching to Phu Cat district. Watched from away, Phuong Mai seems like a dragon with its body lying to the North until the sea gate De Gi. The end of the South of the peninsula looks like a sharp sickle with many extraordinary and difficult caves where salanganes usually gather to build their nests and give human being an extremely precious and nutritious specialty “salangane’s nest”. The Thi Nai lagoon and the Phuong Mai peninsula used to play a strategic position of army, and the place remarked many glorious victories of the Tay Son insurgent troops. Adding to the natural beauty of this land is the bridge – road Quy Nhon – Song Cau of 7km and 48m long, across the Thi Nai lagoon, connecting the Phuong Mai peninsula with Quy Nhon, attracting many tourists to visit. Ham Ho Spot Ham Ho Tourist Spot: is a long 3 km river section going through old forests with many big stones in variety of shapes in Tay Phu, Tay Son district, about 55 km from Quy Nhon. Ham Ho is famous for variety of fish, especially during flood seasons when fish from everywhere gather here. Fish swimming in opposite flows are blown up by waterfalls and come back like flying fish. It is told that every year the Water King holds an examination for fish in Ham Ho. Fish that passes the examination will turn into a dragon. Because of this classic reference, the Ham Ho waterfall is also called Vu Mon. The old people called it Flying Fish waterfall. With the width of 30m, the river’s bed is full of gleaming and bright granite stones like million of diamonds in the green and clear water. Along the riverside tourists will see Thanh Mountain – a mountainous wall stands like a city’s wall covered with green moss and ancient roots. On the left of the wall is a beach of stones piled on each other like a giant pouring a basket of stones into the river. Therefore, local people call it the river section that was made full by the God. Passing by this river section is a pool of Roi fish always full of Roi fish gathering here. The next river section is a cubic of stone like a crocodile lying in the river center, blocking strong river flows, this makes white foam blow up. So it is called Hon Trao. Also, the cubic of stone seems alive and meaningful because of legends such as Jar of Wine Mountain (Hon Vo Ruou), the Footprint of Giants mountain (Hon Dau Chan Ong Khong Lo), Fairy Chess Board (Ban Co Tien) and God Fish mountain (Hon Ong Tao)…The more you get deep into, the more interesting scenery and animals are. The nature here creates a lively and fanciful drawing and is an ideal place for tourists to relax. Ham Ho is also the place remarking the history of the Tay Son movement, the Mai Xuan Thuong insurgent troops, and the nation’s independence fight. Hoi Van hot spring Hoi Van Hot Spring: located in Cat Trinh, Phu Cat district, 48 km from Quy Nhon city to the North West, in an area with delicate and fanciful scenery. Hoi Van is a hot mineral spring that has values of heath treatments such as rheumatism, …skin diseases… It was said that this was a spring that fairies gifted to a princess in the Champa Kingdom to cure her disease. Therefore, this spring is also called the Fairy Spring. Now here there is a medical institute for recovery and treatments with traditional methods that tourists highly evaluate. One - Mountain lake One-Mountain Lake: is one large sweet water lake with its surface of more than 1,200 ha wide in Nhon Tan commune, An Nhon district. Around the lake are springs, waterfalls, caves and primary forests. The lake surface is so flat, clear and green, creating a mountain – sea scenery of rivers – springs – mountains – romantic lake.
