Tongariro Holiday Park is just a 20 minutes drive from the Whakapapa ski area located on SH47, 400 meters from the intersection of SH46. New to the park are our 4 star self contained studio units. Also 3 star plus ensuite cabins with great little bathrooms and basic standard cabins with shared facilities Located here with us are Tongariro Expeditions and their Mountain Base Camp. In the summer, there are multiple daily departures to and from the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. They are also the Winter Crossing Specialists with all your needs, Transport, Gear Hire and escorts on the Track available. Within a 5 minutes drive you are at 2 of the best fishing lakes in the world. So we have the spot to begin your days adventure and when you arrive home the hot spa pool awaits. The Tongariro Base Camp Cafe has reopened with a great new team doing an all day menu from 8.30am Friday till Wednesday. Dinner menu from 5pm. For group an early may be arranged. Cool bears and wines available. |

Self Contained Unit
Warm modern self contained studio units have Freeview TV, shower, toilet and basic cooking facilities. Max occupancy of 4 persons with a queen bed and 1 set of single bunks. Linen on the bunk beds is not supplied but can be hired at $7 per bed. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $10.00. Extra children $10.00. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

| Getting There |
From the north we are 1 hour south of Taupo. At the southern end of the Turangi township turn right onto SH41. 2km along SH41 turn left onto SH47 following sign to National Park. We are 23ks from that intersection on left. Just 400 meters past the junction with SH 46 From the south at the northern end of the Desert Rd turn left onto SH46. 10kms before the Turangi township. At the end of SH46 turn left onto SH47 and we are 400 meters on the left. From National Park Village or SH4 we are 26Kms down SH47 on right and side just before SH46 intersection. |
