Located on the north-eastern tip of Kadavu Island in a very secluded bay is Waisalima Beach Resort & Dive Centre. We're an eco-friendly family operated business and the resort is situated right near The Great Astrolabe Reef, one of the world's largest and most sought after diving locations. The south-eastern Kadavu coast guarantees world class diving, together with awesome adventures including snorkelling, fishing and kayaking for all ocean lovers and our land-based eco-adventures are equally fun, satisfying hikers, culture vultures, naturalists, bird watchers and herbalists. To help minimize our carbon footprint Waisalima Beach Resort & Dive Centre is solar powered throughout and whilst being a very remote destination Waisalima Beach Resort & Dive Centre still maintains satellite communications via a VSat system which is also solar powered to enable our guests Broadband internet services. Our fully licensed bar is well stocked with Fiji Bitter, red and white wines and spirits which is always nice with one of our sumptuous meals. Our local boatman will pick you up either from the ferry docks nearby or Vunisea airport and bring you to the resort. We'll ensure your baggage is taken care of and that you arrive safe at the resort. |

| Getting There |
Kadavu Island is situated approximately 50km south of Viti Levu and the Waisalima Beach Resort & Dive Centre is directly south of the capital of Fiji, Suva. To get to Waisalima Beach Resort there are a couple of different options. There are daily flights to Vunisea airport from Nadi and Suva or a ferry leaves every Wednesday from the docks in Suva. The local airlines that can assist are Fiji Air or Pacific Sun who are the Domestic division of Air Pacific. From Vunisea airport our boatman will pick you up and take you the 25 nautical miles along the rugged coastline of Kadavu Island and deliver you right to the door safely. |

| Things To Do |
There is plenty to do at Waisalima Beach Resort & Dive Centre. From scuba diving the Great Astrolabe Reef to hanging around in a hammock, you'll find something to do at Waisalima. There is some great sights to see and many different places to visit including two local villages, the local church and schools, nearby desolate and picturesque islands and we also hold kava ceremonies regularly. Our water sports are run by Viti Water Sports, an independent PADI-certified diving operation. You can take course anywhere from beginner to Dive Master and there are a lot of different dive sites which allow divers the chance to dive with manta rays, sharks and all manner of different creatures dependent on diving experience. Some of the activities available at Waisalima Beach Resort & Dive Centre are as follows: Scuba Diving Snorkelling Kayaking Fishing Hiking (waterfalls & great views) Bird watching Collecting shells Kava ceremony |
