Centrally located and built to five-diamond standards, the Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver occupies the first 15 floors of Western Canada’s tallest building. Our 119 spacious guest rooms can be described as classic contemporary with an Asian influence; over-size bathrooms and state-of-the-art technology mix with signature dining and spa. World acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten opens his first Canadian restaurant and CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La also makes it North American debut. Guests arriving by vehicle will arrive via the Lower Lobby and receive a warm welcome from our Guest Hospitality ambassadors, who will then escort our guests up to their guestroom where they are checked in within the comfort of their own room. |

| Getting There |
From the Airport by car: - Depart the airport (YVR) and follow the road onto Grant McConachie Way. - Move into the right-hand lane and take the exit marked: City Centre/Granville Street. - Follow Granville Street for approximately 8 kilometres. - Take the first right-hand exit (Seymour Street). - Turn left at the 6th street (Robson Street). - Turn right at the 4th street (Burrard Street). - Turn left at the first light (Alberni Street). The hotel's driveway entrance is located off Alberni Street, 1 ½ blocks down the street. Follow the signs to Hotel Lobby/Registration. From the Airport by taxi: Vancouver International Airport is located 14 kilometres south of downtown Vancouver in a suburb called Richmond. Transfers from the airport Arrivals Level are easy and several options are available. Guests can confirm a limousine transfer in a private luxury car through our reservations department. Otherwise taxis are available directly outside the Arrivals Level. Rental cars are also readily available at the airport. By late 2009 the Canada Line rapid transit rail system will be complete, and will take visitors from the Vancouver International Airport to downtown Vancouver in approximately 30 minutes. |
