Fully self-contained with spacious verandah, stunning views overlooking lush green manicured lawns down to Byron Creek. Short distance to main house with queen bed, ensuite (shower), reverse-cycle air con, TV, DVD, CD player and ipod doc. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $50.00. Extra children $50.00. | Getting There |
How to get here by road: Riverview Guesthouse is located approximately 10 hours north of Sydney, 2 hours south of Brisbane, 1.5 hours south of Surfers Paradise and 45 minutes south of Gold Coast/Coolangatta Airport. From the South Leaving Ballina, head north along the Pacific Hwy till you see the turn off to Bangalow. Turn left into Byron Street and follow along a short distance till you reach the bridge. Riverview Guesthouse (99 Byron Street) is the first driveway on the right after the bridge. Driving time from Ballina to Riverview is approximately 15 mintues. From the North Pass the Gold Coast airport at Coolangatta, following the signs to Ballina along the Pacific Highway. 40 minutes after leaving Coolangatta, watch for signs to Bangalow, the next exit after Byron Bay turn off. Take the left exit on to Granuaille Rd till you reach the roundabout at the top of Bangalow town. Turn left (this is Byron Street) and drive through the town. Before you get to the bridge Riverview is the last driveway on the left. Travelling by Air Fly from most capital cities in Australia to the Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta and drive 45 minutes south to Byron Bay. Services are plentiful on Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Blue. Alternatively fly to Ballina/Byron airport from Sydney on Virgin, Jetstar or Rex Air (flights daily) or direct flights from Melbourne with Jetstar. Riverview Guesthouse is approximately 15 minutes north of Ballina/Byron Airport. Rental cars are available at both Gold Coast and Ballina Airports. |

Bangalow is the heritage village of Byron Shire. Away from the hustle and bustle, this picturesque place has lots to see and do. Step back in time. Antiques, homewares, galleries, cafes, fine dining and a friendly country smile. Bangalow Markets are the 4th Sunday of every month. Bangalow Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning behind the hotel. Byron Bay is only a scenic 10 minute drive with views of the ocean and mountain ranges. The local cuisine is superb and cafes, bistros and award winning restaurants abound. The retail experience is uniquely Byron, with local artisans, and crafts people supported in a diverse range of outlets alongside internationally renowned brands. Those wanting to experience the natural surroundings can partake in activities such as kayaking with the dolphins, snorkelling and scuba diving or head inland to discover world heritage national parks and lush rainforests. While the adventurous can try tandem skydiving, horse riding along the beach, hang gliding or windsurfing. Surfing is also popular and the beaches in Byron Bay offer some excellent options, even for beginners. The area truly does offer something for everyone from great surf to peaceful rainforests and luxury experiences to spiritual development. |
