Bergamo is an ancient city with a past that begins with the Celts and later transformed into a Roman empire. For a long time it was a part of the Lombard Kingdom, later to be taken under Charlemagne. The look of Bergamo can be misleading when it comes to any feature that does not have to do with history. The ancient look of the walled city with its Medieval buildings, towers, and gates, in many places does not look like it has changed for centuries. But Bergamo has preserved its incredible architecture all the while staying current with trends, nightlife is happening in Bergamo. There are many bars and nightclubs to keep you entertained into the wee hours of the night.
