Villa Zuccari, a large 16th century country residence immersed in the vineyards of Montefalco, has recently been transformed by owner, Paolo Zuccari, in a fabulous hotel complete with extensive grounds and swimming pool. Guests are greeted in a spacious reception lobby with 19th century terra cotta tile ceiling brought to light during the extensive restoration work carried out on the villa during the building's conversion in hotel. Hotel Villa Zuccari has a total of 34 tastefully furnished and spacious rooms most with its own large terrace with views of the gardens and the Umbrian countryside. Many of the Carrara marble bathrooms have Jacuzzi bathtubs. An additional 8 double rooms are located in two independent cottages "La Casetta" and “Il Villino”, overlooking the hotel's charming Italian garden. Guests dining at the Hotel Villa Zuccari's restaurant enjoy authentic Umbrian cuisine, with seasonal menus featuring traditional dishes of fresh homemade pasta and delicious vegetable soups. A sumptuous buffet breakfast is served in the veranda of the hotel's Winter Garden. Hotel Villa Zuccari boasts a traditional Italian garden with meticulously kept box-wood hedges, fountain and fine specimens of magnolia, palm and pine trees. A well equipped function room offers meeting space for up to 60 people. Hotel Villa Zuccari is situated in a small village near Montefalco, enchanting town in the heart of Umbria. An extensive park surrounds the hotel, which occupies a strategic position, close to all of the region's most important towns and cities. The valley is full of local wineries, scenic drives and charming little villages. Perfectly positioned for visiting Perugia, Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Todi, Norcia, Montefalco, etc. The great wineries are all around Montefalco, just a short drive away from the hotel. |
