Great Mountain road location: We are located at the "Junction" in Ohakune township - the main hub of Ohakune with bars, nightclubs, restaurants, ski & board shops. Everything you need within easy walking distance, but far enough away not to hear it! Huge accommodation range to suit all budgets. We welcome families and groups. We can also cater for group bookings, both large and small.

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS:
MOTEL: Spacious 4 Bedroom chalet sleeps up to 10, suits up to 2 families or group. 2 bathrooms (2 Showers & Bath) & 2 toilets, 2 large hot water cylinders, full kitchen with upright oven, microwave oven, large fridge / freezer, generous living area. Freeview T.V. cosy under-floor heating, all linen provided, serviced daily, parking for 2 cars at front of unit.

Mezzanine Motel units sleep 5, and Studio Motel units sleep up to 3. (An extra single bed can be added to any of these rooms, although it does diminish your living space) All are fully self-contained with kitchen & bathroom facilities & cosy underfloor heating. Mezzanine units have undercover car park.

LODGE: 2 - 3 Bedroom Apartment in Lodge sleeps 6 - 10 with full private self-catering and bathroom facilities.
Ensuite lodge rooms are private bedroom with bathroom facilities.
Value lodge rooms are private bedrooms upstairs in the lodge with shared facility bathrooms.
All Lodge rooms have access to communal kitchen facilities, and cosy guest lounge with big screen T.V and pool table. Off street parking.

Check In Instructions	Reception hours are 0800hrs to 2000hrs. It is possible to arrive or depart outside of these hours, but you MUST please make prior contact with reception to make the necessary arrangements. We are not at reception overnight.

Getting There	From Auckland: 4 to 5 hour drive via SH1 SH4 and SH49. Alternate route through Taupo via SH1 and SH49. From Wellington: 3 to 4 hour drive via SH1, turn at Waiouru SH49. Via Train: Book your ticket to Ohakune from either North or South. We are located 5 min walk from the station. Via Bus: we are a 5 min walk from the 'Naked bus' station. Main bus Station is 2km from us. Contact us and we will come and pick you up for a small fee. To find us when you come into Ohakune, turn at the 'i-site' (T-intersection)from Clyde Street into Goldfinch Street. Continue up this road for approx 2km. We're on the right just before you get to the start of the mountain road to Turoa Ski resort.
Parking	Generous offstreet parking for all units, with under cover parking immediately in front of the Mezzanine Motel units. All Motel units have parks directly outside their unit. Ample car parking for lodge vehicles with additional parking available for extras.
Things To Do	15 minute drive to Turoa Skifield for a fantastic Snow, Ski, or Snowboarding experience. 1/2hr drive to Whakapapa skifield. We are on the door step to Tongariro National Park with all grades of Mountain Biking trails. Hiking and Tramping is a major activity in the area with many bush and alpine tracks open throughout the Park. 1/2 hour drive to the world famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Situated 200m from the start of the Old Coach Road walking and biking trail. The beautiful Waimarino Golf course is only a 5 min drive away. Many exciting Trout fishing streams and rivers throughout the region, including the famous Tongariro River. Lake Taupo for swimming, sailing and motor boat sports only 1hr drive. Horse trekking available through the parks lush forests. White water rafting and canoe trips on three major rivers in the area. In-door climbing wall for those wet days. Waiouru Army Museum is well worth a visit.
