The Inn offers all of the charm and character expected of the quintessential English Village Pub, but with an infused element of Style and grace that truly makes Dinton Hermit a special place to stay. Whether enjoying a relaxing break away from the normalities of life, an expertly prepared sunday lunch or just a swift drink to recharge your batteries while visiting the area, Dinton Hermit offers a friendly warmth and comfort befitting such a beautiful location. The new Barn bedroom interiors have been designed by Elizabeth Warden and refurbished to a high standard in a classic contemporary scheme which, whilst complementing the historic nature of Dinton Hermit, still offers guests the comfort and style they expect. Rooms range from the cosy and comfortable Barn Rooms, which offer relaxing furnishings and comforting modern amenities to enjoy while replenishing your energy, up to the deluxe King Charles Suites, boasting four poster beds for that extra special stay. Using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, Dinton Hermit boast menus with many regular favourites, as well as special seasonal dishes. The evening menu offers a range of interesting dishes that, wherever possible, use the finest local ingredients available. Complimenting the cosy and relaxed surroundings of the restaurant, the dishes created by the chefs are a celebration of traditional fare and modern twists. Hugely popular in the local area, the Sunday menus offer the customary dishes that are adored up and down the country. Should you choose to dine 'al fresco', all of the lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus can be enjoyed outside in the Inn's beautiful and well kept gardens. Dinton Hermit rightly holds its place as the traditional village pub in Ford. The bar is a comfortable and friendly place to pop in for a quick drink or enjoy an evening in front of the open fire with a meal from the bar menu. A wide selection of wines, beers, including many locally brewed, and spirits are available from the bar and each month a Guest Wine and Guest Beer of the Month is offered. In the summer, Dinton Hermit's large garden is a great place to enjoy the sunshine in the peace and quiet of the Buckinghamshire countryside. |

FROM THE M25. Exit the M25 at Junction 20 on to the A41 in the direction of Aylesbury. Follow the A41 onto Tring Street (A41) entering Aylesbury. Go Over the roundabout onto High Street (A41). Turn left onto Exchange Street (A41) and then at the roundabout go straight over onto Friarage Road (A41). Turn left onto Oxford Road (A418). At the bend take a left onto Portway Road. At the crossroads turn left into Ford. Take your first left onto Water Lane. |

Dinton Hermit is situated just a few miles from Aylesbury, Thame and Princes Risborough, in the village of Ford, a quiet hamlet in the middle of the Aylesbury Vale area of Buckinghamshire. London is only 45 minutes away on the train from Haddenham and Thame Parkway station and Oxford and Milton Keynes are only a 30 minute drive away. There are over 2,500 miles of public rights of way in Buckinghamshire, including the Chiltern Hills and beechwoods, the beautiful River Thames with many riverside walks and cycle paths and the rolling acres of Aylesbury Vale. |
