Falls Creek Travel Tips (ski season only) Make sure you add antifreeze to your radiator. Ensure your vehicles battery is in good condition. Diesel vehicles should be filled with “Alpine Mix” fuel. Alpine Diesel is available in Mt Beauty. LP Gas vehicles perform best on petrol in alpine areas. Carrying chains is a legal requirement. Consider using a ground sheet and gloves when fitting chains. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration on snow or ice. A Windscreen scraper will clear ice from car windows. You may need a shovel to dig your car out of the snow. Driving The road to Falls Creek is safe and cleared of snow daily, snow chains are rarely fitted. Carrying of snow chains, however, is compulsory and are available to hire in Mt Beauty. Drive and Coach Drive to Mt Beauty at the base of Falls Creek and park your car securely at Falls Creek Coach terminal. From here Falls Creek is a 45 minute trip away in a luxury coach. Train and Coach Catch a regular train service to Albury and board a connecting Falls Creek Coach Service direct to Falls Creek. Falls Creek Coaches provide daily services to Falls Creek from Melbourne, Albury and Mt Beauty. Fly and Coach/Drive Fly into Albury Airport with Qantaslink or Virgin Blue and board a connecting Falls Creek Coach direct to Falls Creek. Alternatively hire a car at Albury Airport and enjoy the drive to Falls Creek. Resort Entry (ski season only) When you arrive at Howman’s Gap Resort entry gate, your’re almost at Falls Creek. Resort entry fees are collected. |

Car parking is available on the mountain and is at your own cost and risk. Parking attendants, not employed by the hotel, shall assist you with these arrangements and directing you to the Resort. The hotel is not liable to any damage and/or loss of items left in the vehicles whilst on the mountain. |
