Tin Dragon Trail Cottages offer luxury, eco-retreat style accommodation in Branxholm, North East Tasmania. There are two bedroom self-contained cottages available as well as studio spa cottages for couples or individual travelers. Enjoy the convenience of fully equipped kitchens including gas stove top, electric oven, basic cooking supplies and breakfast provisions. There are also laundry facilities. A baby's cot or additional single bed is available on request. While adopting the principles of ecological sustainability, each cottage maintains the objective of providing luxurious modern comforts. Cottages are smoke-free. Listen to the sounds of the bush and enjoy scenic river views from your cottage. Located on the Trail of the Tin Dragon, discover the Chinese heritage of the area, celebrated with an interpretation centre and walking tracks through historic mining and water race sites. Enjoy the solitude of the meditation garden set amidst the regrowth rainforest of a historic Chinese alluvial tin mine. Your only disturbance might be from the occasional inquisitive pademelon, echidna, noisy parrot or soaring eagle. Nocturnal walks can be arranged to view possums, quolls and small wallabies. In the early morning you might find a platypus feeding in the river and you can also fly fish for wild trout in the Ringarooma River. Branxholm is within an hours drive (90 kilometres/56 miles) from Launceston, St Helens and the Bay of Fires. |
