211 Old Santa Fe Trail
Santa Fe 87501 NM
Map not available
Located at the end of The Santa Fe Trail, nestled perfectly into its historical surroundings near the Plaza, The Inn and Spa at Loretto flows seamlessly into the gentle New Mexico landscape. Built in 1975 next to the famous Loretto Chapel, on the grounds where the Academy of Our Lady of Light (Loretto) once stood, the Inn embodies the culture of the region through its design, landscaping, cuisines and personal service to reflect the true spirit and history of Santa Fe.

The Southwest reveres the spirituality of its ancient indigenous peoples and their strong bonds with nature to maintain an inner balance. Led by the four elements and four directions, aligned to the four seasons and raised through the four stages of life, traditional teachings believe all people are the children of Father Sky and Mother Earth, and all of our lives are woven together under their protection and nurturance.

It is these deep Native American folklore influences that were the inspiration behind the Inn's redesign in 2008 by international design consultant and co-founder of Zimmer Associates International, Robert Zimmer and his partner Dolores Hundley Zimmer. Their vision was to transcend space and time to capture the Pueblo Indian's spirit, ambiance and reverence for life - through design.

Styled in traditional elegance, the Inn's 129 guest rooms and five suites are elegantly appointed in symbolic hues of deep terracotta red, Navajo gold, black and white commonly used in Anasazi pottery and blankets. Layered zigzags of lightening bolts are portrayed throughout the room's décor signifying the power of Father Sky reaching down to recharge Mother Earth. Soft lighting and flickering candles provide a welcoming ambiance that cast telling shadows of a time when the sun and fire were the only sources of light.

All guest rooms boast luxurious new bedding and draperies that draw the eye with their geometric shapes, simple lines and vibrant colors. Spacious leather chairs and newly upholstered armchairs invite guests to rest, while the plush bed provides refuge for the weary. Artisan wall décor and historic artwork hint at the celebrated history of the hotel, the neighboring Loretto Chapel and greater Santa Fe.

Many of the guest rooms and suites have private or shared balconies that frame an assortment of vistas, including the surrounding Sangre de Christo mountains, Saint Francis Cathedral, Loretto Chapel or the Inn's garden retreat scented by lavender and sage.

Steps away from the heart of Santa Fe, we invite you to go forth and experience the beauty, history and spirit of this town. However you choose to spend your Santa Fe vacation, the Inn and Spa at Loretto offers an inspired refuge that surrounds you with the heart and soul of genuine Santa Fe.

The Inn and Spa at Loretto celebrates the art of food in genuine Santa Fe tradition by presenting New Mexico dining at its finest. We use the very freshest local and organic ingredients. Because we strongly support our community, we purchase fruits, vegetables and spices from local farmers-and prime grades of meat from regional ranchers. Specializing in contemporary American cuisine accented by bold Southwest and Santa Fe influences, Executive Chef Brian Cooper creates eclectic menus that reflect the availability of indigenous seasonal ingredients.
