Looking for a breath of fresh air? If so, you can't beat the quaint little seaside village of Stanley on Tasmania's North West Coast. With its whistling wind and gorgeous countryside, Stanley is the ideal base for exploring all the natural beauty and attractions the region has to offer. Noted for its friendliness and warm hospitality Touchwood Cottages are situated in the heart of Stanley and are the perfect place to relax and unwind. There is an excellent cafe on-site using an abundance of local fresh produce open six days of the week and some evenings. A design Gallery and gift shop choc full of Tasmanian product complete the small complex which, with its cobble stone walkways and old street lamps, is reminiscent of an English scene! All three cottages are 4 star rated and decorated in a colonial style. They are well appointed, full of character and charm and extremely comfortable. All are fully self-contained. Hearty breakfast supplies, a fresh fruit bowl and our signature chocolates with port are included in your tariff. |

Built in 1840 Touchwood is the oldest private residence in Stanley. Heritage listed and decorated accordingly, it offers 2 doubles and 1 twin bedroom, spacious kitchen, sitting room and newly renovated bathroom with large walk in shower and clawfoot bath. Rates are for 4 people. Extra adults $30.00. Extra children $30.00. The room caters for a maximum of 6 adults, and a maximum of 5 children but cannot exceed 6 guests in total. | Getting There |
From Burnie follow the A2 Highway and turn right at the Stanley turn off. Travel approx. 6kms into Stanley and turn left into Victoria Street, then left at the Stanley Hotel onto Church Street. Touchwood Cottages is approx. 100 metres along on the left. Make contact with Kathy or Trevor at Touchwood Gallery to check in and receive your keys. If you are running late and will not be in Stanley before 5.30pm please phone ahead to make alternative arrangements for your check in time and where to pick up the keys. Our number will be on your confirmation email. |
