Nestled in the Monashee Mountains of the Thompson Okanagan Tourist Region in beautiful British Columbia’s interior, SunPeaks Resort is rapidly becoming the year-round destination of choice for outdoor enthusiasts. A ski in/ski out boutique style ski lodge located at the base of Tod Mountain at Sun Peaks Resort 30 minutes from Kamloops British Columbia. Hearthstone Lodge is just minutes from the Sunburst high speed quad chair lift in the heart of the Ski Village. The Lodge offers a variety of room styles – studios, lofts, multi-room, and adjoining units to accommodate a wide variety of travellers requirements. All 70 spacious condo-style units offer a convenience kitchen, gas fireplace, cable television and free high speed internet access. Facilities available to all guests include coin operated laundry, outdoor hot tubs, fitness centre, a variety of on-site restaurants and retail shops as well as secure underground parking. The Hearthstone Lodge at Sun Peaks Resort is designed to provide guests with all the comforts of a hotel while enjoying all the amenities of home. Suites at the Hearthstone Lodge have a kitchen in every room making it the perfect place for families or those that choose to be self-sufficient. Each room is equipped with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, and two burner stove top as well as cutlery, pots and dishware all provided to ensure that guests have all the supplies they need to prepare a romantic dinner or a family meal. For your added comfort Suites also feature fireplaces, color television with premium cable and satellite stations, complimentary high speed internet access, irons/ironing boards and hairdryers. |

| Getting There |
By Road Access the Tod Mountain Road by turning off Highway 5 at Heffley Creek, 19 km north of Kamloops, 30 km south of Barriere. There is a blue sign for "Sun Peaks Resort" indicating the turn. Turn left at Heffley Creek Store and follow the Tod Mountain Road 26 km east to Sun Peaks Resort. The Hearthstone Lodge is well-signed and is directly accessable from the main road. By Air Kamloops proudly boasts an international airport with service from major gateways by carriers including Air Canada, West Jet, Pacific Coastal and Central Mountain Airlines . Car rentals and/or taxi service are available on arrival, however, reservations are recommended. |

The peaceful and intimate village of Sun Peaks will welcome you as you turn the final corner and arrive at the Hearthstone Lodge, ready to relax and remember the reasons that getaways like this are so important. Spend the day in the great outdoors – summer or winter, Sun Peaks has a variety of activities available for visitors. Enjoy an afternoon stroll through the pedestrian village, go for an evening walk beside a mountain stream or snowshoe crystalline trails, relax in an outdoor hot-tub, dine at one of our elegant on-site restaurants, or simply curl up in front of your fireplace with a bottle of wine. Ski and Snowboard The champagne powder is what it’s all about! With over 2000 hours of sunshine a year, 881 meters of vertical, vast open bowls, 12 lifts, and over 5 ½ meters of some of the best snow in B.C., Sun Peaks is a premier ski and board destination. Selected in 2005 as the early season training site for the Austrian Ski Team enroute to the 2010 Olympics and the three mountains and 121 runs that make up the 2nd largest skiable terrain in B.C. are world class. There is something here for everyone, beginner to expert – 10% green or “novice” runs, 58% blue or “intermediate”, and 32% black diamond or “expert” runs. Located within 2 minutes walk of the Hearthstone Lodge, the Sun Peaks Sports School offers both day care services as well as ski and snowboard lessons to ensure that your entire family is able to make the most of your time on the hill. Cross-country skiing, also known as nordic skiing, is another great winter activity. Over 28 km of track-set trails lead from the main entrances to the Hearthstone Lodge. Extreme Mountain Biking Mountain biking is one of the fastest growing sports in North America. The Sun Peaks area boasts some of the best and most diverse off-road terrain in British Columbia, from single track desert riding to the adrenaline rush of high speed alpine downhill riding. A stay at the Hearthstone Lodge provides quick access to one of B.C.’s top bike parks. What makes it great? Amongst other things, the Sunburst Chair will carry you up the mountain with your bike, leaving you breathless because of the scenery, not the uphill climb! Ride any of 26 bike trails home as you descend through 600 meters of vertical back to the village of Sun Peaks and it’s welcoming selection of patio restaurants ready to serve you. If you have a sense of adventure and are looking for a thrill, mountain biking could quickly become your new favorite sport! World Class Golf Tucked in the valley between Mts.Tod and Morrisey, the Sun Peaks Resort Golf Course is one of the most stunning, naturally scenic golf courses in British Columbia. The 18-hole course, designed by Graham Cooke, follows the natural terrain of McGillvary Creek to pose a challenging yet immensely enjoyable golf experience. Golfers at Sun Peaks are often required to share the course with the areas abundant wildlife, including bears, and have no choice but to stop and smell the delicate alpine flowers that litter the landscape.
