| Getting There |
Most visitors will be “heading south,” travelling via Mandurah and Bunbury. Just before arriving at Busselton (at the round-a-bout), take the bypass road to the left. Continue on (following the Margaret River/Augusta signs) and pass by the Vasse Newtown development on your left. On arrival at the junction with Bussell Highway, turn left and proceed through the tiny settlement of Vasse, then on (in a leisurely manner) to Cowaramup. From here, travel a further 8.5kms to the junction with Osmington Road (watch out for the large "Brewery" sign). Turn left and proceed 2.2kms and we're on the left. You can't miss us folks...there's a blue "Farm Stay" sign on the right hand side of the road and a very large Margaret River Hideaway sign on the left, at the entrance. If you’re coming up from the south, along Bussell Highway, pass through Margaret River township, cross over the bridge and continue for 3.3kms. At the junction with Osmington Road (watch out for the large blue "Brewery" sign), turn right and proceed 2.2kms to Margaret River Hideaway…on the left hand side. |

| Things To Do |
The Margaret River region is blessed with an abundance of sightseeing and activities and our location is such that you can enjoy them all, with a minimum of fuss. And our compendium is filled with ideas and information on the region. On arrival, we’ll provide you with a copy of our exclusive map and itineraries, so that you can head out and experience things, without fear of getting lost. We have a multitude of world-renowned wineries; several breweries; cheese and chocolate factories; venison and olive farms; wood, ceramic, glass and art studios; world renowned surf breaks and safe swimming beaches; cafes, restaurants and pubs; caves and karri forest. The list goes on and on. Margaret River township is just 5 minutes away and here you’ll find 2 large supermarkets, many specialist food stores, cafes, restaurants, wine bars, 2 pubs, a tavern, souvenir shops and everything else you would expect of a regional town housing more than 5,000 people. From September to April, it’s a bustling country town, easing back during our winter (May-August) when it’s important to dress for warmth. And winter brings its own delights with fewer tourists visiting the major sights; and with the whaling season off our southern coast. That’s right folks, from here it’s a leisurely drive down to Augusta where you can watch whales frolicking in Flinders Bay, or take an excursion to get up close and personal with these massive mammals. There’s plenty for the kids, also, with playgrounds galore and with a horse-riding clinic nearby. |
