Havelock House is a spacious country house with sweeping driveway, verandas and stunning gardens set in 4 acres. Enjoy Bed & Breakfast here at Havelock House. A choice of 3 luxury ground floor suites all with great views. All rooms are ensuite and quiet so you will enjoy a peaceful nights sleep. We are in a fabulous location just a 5 mins easy drive from the village - the gardens are full of Native trees and bird life. The attractive village of Havelock North with its boutique shopping, galleries, wide choice of restaurants and cafes are close by. Enjoy spacious ensuite ground floor bedrooms; each bedroom has King beds,2 with full ensuite bath and shower ( Havelock and Hastings),1 with ensuite shower (Napier), flat screen TV/DVD, hospitality trays and more. Breakfast is served on individual tables over looking the rose gardens. All diets can be catered for, please try and let me know in advance if you have any special requests - we always do our best to cater for you. Enjoy fresh eggs from our hens. Havelock House has a large garden full of roses and native New Zealand plants and trees and lots of bird life - Tui and New Zealand wood pigeon; our son Tom will be pleased to show you his hens you may even like some of the fresh eggs for breakfast, and quiet outside decks where you can sit and relax. There are a wide range of restaurants in the village to suit all tastes - including Diva, Pipi, The Rose & Shamrock, and the Post. Many of the wineries have their own restaurants eg Black Barn, Craggy Range, Clearview, and Elephant Hill. We are more than happy to assist with reservations. Complimentary transport can also be arranged if you would like to dine at Mangapapa. Good food and wine abounds in Hawkes Bay - follow the food trail - visit the local farmers markets at Black Barn or Hastings showground, Aranaki honey and Prenzels for tastings and gifts to take home. Whatever your interests, we will do our best to help you get the most from your stay at Havelock House. Days out from here to Napier, Cape Kidnappers, lunch at a winery such as Craggy Range, Elephant Hill or Black Barn - down the road from here; close to Gimlett Gravels, excellent golf courses at Hastings(less than 10 mins drive) and Cape Kidnappers (20 mins),On your Bike wine tours , walking trails and much more. |

| Getting There |
We are less than 10 minutes from Hastings, 15 minutes from Napier and 20 minutes from Napier airport. By car follow the signs from Havelock North village to Middle Road - drive down Middle Road past Gilpin and Iona Roads - look out for a blue Bed & Breakfast sign on Middle Road - turn left up Endsleigh Road carry onto Endsleigh Drive. Havelock House is on the corner of Endsleigh Road and Endsleigh Drive no 77 - look out for the white eagles on the gate posts. |
| Parking |
We have plenty of free car parking if you are bringing a boat/ trailer/ 2 cars - it is no problem there is ample off street car parking at Havelock House; the entrance has a wide sweeping block paved drive and plenty of both parking and turning areas. |
| Things To Do |
Hawke's Bay is New Zealand's leading food and wine region known also as the fruit bowl of New Zealand. Our sunshine record is the envy of other parts of New Zealand which makes it an ideal destination for all seasons; More than 40 wineries many with their own restaurants and delicatessens. It is probably the best wine growing area of New Zealand and the scenary is very similar to Tuscany in parts with the olive groves and fruit orchards. The Hawkes Bay is world famous for the Art Deco architecture in Napier - the best collection of Art Deco buildings to be seen in one place, the National Aquarium in Napier, many art galleries and craft centres including Maori art are to be found here. A drive up Te Mata Peak or a drive out to one of the wide sandy beaches - at Ocean or Wiamarama are popular excursions from here. |
