As one of the most celebrated hotels in England the Barceló The Lygon Arms has been welcoming travellers since the 16th Century. Today its charm and its sense of occasion are as pronounced as ever while complemented by the best of modern comfort. The Barceló The Lygon Arms has 70 rooms and 7 stunning Suites, some dating back to 1532, half of our bedrooms are in the main house and the other half are in the award-winning Garden and Orchard Wings. We offer a diversity of rooms, which are all individually furnished in a traditional country house style.. The Barceló The Lygon Arms is open to all guests, it boasts a well equipped fitness centre, spa bath and heated indoor pool with a roof that can be opened in sunny weather. There is also a plunge pool, sauna and steam room and four heath and beauty rooms offering the very latest treatments offered by our team of hand picked therapists. Despite its central village location the Lygon also has three acres of grounds that include lawns, flower gardens, croquet, archery and floodlit tennis courts. With Stratford Upon Avon to the north and Oxford to the south, the Cotswolds provide great opportunities for outdoor activities. There are bicycles for hire and horse riding is a favourite pastime. Nearby there is also golf, carriage riding, clay pigeon shooting, trout fishing and gliding, helicopter rides and hot-air ballooning available. |

From the M40 exit at the Oxford turnoff. Take the A40 to Oxford and continue to Burford. Take the A424 through Stow-on-the-Wold and pick up the A44 to Broadway |

Rolling countryside, glorious gardens and impressive churches are perfect for a tranquil stroll whilst the bordering cities of Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham and Oxford offer endless hours of shopping, history and culture. Broadway is one of the Cotswold's finest villages with antique shops, galleries and pubs just a short stroll from the hotel. Plus nearby is Hidcote Gardens and Sudeley Castle.
