The only 18+ island resort in the Whitsundays, Koala Adventure Island offers adventure and nature based activities during the day plus opportunities to kick back and relax with a beachside massage before parting the night away with the resident DJ or feature band and entertainment. Koala Adventure Island is part of the beautiful Whitsunday Island off the coast of tropical North Queensland, Australia. Protected by the Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsunday Islands are known for their fantastic sailing and diving, amazing marine life and awesome coral. And now they are known for their partying! Koala Adventure Island Resort is surrounded by unspoilt National Park, white sandy beaches, secluded bays and coconut palms - the perfect tropical island paradise. Relax by day, party by night - Koala Adventure Island has it all. A wide range of on and off-water activities are on offer, as well as cutting edge DJs and up-to-the minute bands. There are Three styles of accommodation; Reef View, Ocean view and Beachfront. All rooms have: Balcony or patio En suite bathroom Air conditioning Beachfront Bungalows: The freestanding beach bungalows are right on the beach offer privacy and relaxation with their own balcony and spa bath. Rooms sleep up to two people with one Queen bed and one double futon. Ocean View Rooms: Right on the beach at the centre of the resort, Ocean View Rooms offer amazing views of the Coral Sea and islands. They sleep up to three people with a Queen bed and single bed. They have en suite bathroom with full bath. Interconnecting rooms are available. Reef Rooms Set amongst lush tropical gardens, the Reef Rooms are close to the beach and have ocean view glimpses. Reef Rooms sleep up to three people with one double bed and one single bed. Interconnecting rooms are available and there is a small fridge. The major resort facilities are located around the large swimming pool area, which includes a waterfall spa. The pool area also includes an entertainment area which overlooks the bay, a dance floor, stage and lounge area. Get energetic and play a round of golf on our 9 hole course or have a game of tennis or volleyball. Hit the water on a catamaran or paddle ski. For the more adventurous there is water skiing, jet skis plus opportunties for scuba diving. Holiday makers can set their own pace on this tropical island resort. Laze away the day at the beach or pool, get a indulgent massage or enjoy the natural beauty of the island National Park with 17 kilometres of walking tracks. Walk through cool forests to lookouts with spectacular views of the Whitsunday Islands. Walking maps are available from reception. Tour bookings can be at reception, just ask one of our friendly staff for assistance. Visit the Great Barrier Reef, famous Whitehaven Beach, enjoy island and sunset cruises, fishing and sailing trips. Take a helicopter ride over the reef and islands. |

Koala Adventure Island Resort is located on South Molle Island, cradled between the Great Barrier Reef and Queensland coast in the heart of the spectacular Whitsunday Passage some 1140km north of Brisbane and 640km south of Cairns. ALL BOAT TRANSFERS TO THE ISLAND DEPART FROM EITHER ABEL POINT MARINA ON THE MAINLAND OR HAMILTON ISLAND. TRANSFERS DO NOT DEPART FROM SHUTE HARBOUR. HOW TO GET THERE AIR The Whitsundays is serviced by regular domestic services on Virgin Blue , Jetstar to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport and Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Qantas to Hamilton Island Airport. LAUNCH TRANSFERS Koala Adventure Island Resort (South Molle Island) has transfer launch services to and from the island from Abel Point Marina and the details are as follows for your information: From Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) Airport you will be transfered by coach from the Airport to Abel Point Marina. From Abel Point you will board the Cruise Whitsunday transfer launch for a short cruise to Koala Adventure Island Resort on South Molle Island. From Hamilton Island Airport you will take a shuttle bus service to the Marina. From Hamilton Island Marina you will board a Cruise Whitsundays vessel which will transport you directly to the island. Luggage will be transferred for you. RAIL Regular Queensland Rail (Hyperlink to QR Website) services connect Proserpine with Australia’s capital cities and other major centres. Buses will meet trains to transfer guests to Abel Point Marina. COACH Australia’s leading coach and coach tour companies operate multiple daily services between most major cities and the Whitsundays. ROAD The Bruce Highway, part of Australia’s primary national network, passes through the Whitsundays at Proserpine, 26 km inland from Airlie Beach. Follow the Signs to Airlie Beach. There are more than 11kms of easy, well-signposted walking trails, many leading to spectacular views of the Whitsunday Passage and islands. The island is home to many species of Australian wildlife including fruit bats and butterflies and is also a haven for birdlife including osprey, sea eagles, kites, kookaburras, sulphur-crested cockatoos and rainbow lorikeets. There are many beautiful trees on the island including coconut palms, hoop pines, mangroves, pandanus, golden orchids, eucalypts, frangipani and hibiscus. Aquatic playground: Protected by the Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsunday Islands are known for their fantastic sailing and diving, amazing marine life and awesome coral. Bottle nose dolphins, dugongs and sea turtles mix happily with stingrays and black marlin and an abundance of brightly coloured tropical fish. Snorkellers are in for a treat as the Whitsundays boast an incredible diversity of coral in the fringing reefs around the islands. |
