Peter Bloch's Tanah Merah has three types of villa, The Timor Villas, hand carved from exotic hardwoods, The Bali Villas, perched on the edge of the Petanu River Gorge with heart stopping views, and the very special, Mads Langer Villa with its own swimming pool and spa pool. Peter Bloch is Danish and has been travelling and collecting art throughout Asia for over 50 years. The museum holding his collection is located within the hotel and is a great favourite of guests. Being above the Petanu River, Tanah Merah provides guests the opportunity of walking and swimming along the river to some truly untouched and dramatic waterfalls framed within virgin rainforest. We also offer guests a full range of cultural and adventure tours rarely seen by ordinary tourists to Bali. The Gardenia Restaurant at Tanah Merah features superb but simple European dishes, and for the more adventurous, some truly exotic Asian dishes from around the region. The Spa at Tanah Merah offers in-house guests the pleasure of authentic traditional Balinese massages and treatments, either in the Spa itself, or within the privacy of their own villas. |

Tanah’s Merah’ Studios are, as you would expect, stuffed with paintings, ceramics, textiles, and antique furniture collected by Peter Bloch over years of travel throughout some of the most remote parts of Asia.
