Longbourne Lodge on the Taieri in Mosgiel is designed to offer you the best of accommodation experiences. Each cottage has tasteful decor and quality furnishings. The rooms are spacious with a separate lounge area, a full kitchen, flat floor showers, undercover parking and a covered deck with spectacular rural views. The landscaped grounds offer petanque, outdoor chess and water features to enjoy, as well as a large expanse of lawn. Whether you are travelling on business, holidaying with family, or looking for a romantic weekend away, we can cater for your needs, be it short or long stay. |

The covered deck allows four season viewing of the expansive rural outlook. Very spacious cottage, with lounge separate to bedrooms. Full kitchen includes stove/oven, fridge & microwave. Flat floor showers and good lighting in bathroom. Rates are for 4 people. Extra adults $15.00. Extra children $15.00. The room caters for a maximum of 8 adults, and a maximum of 4 children but cannot exceed 8 guests in total. Available bedding configurations:

| Getting There |
From Mosgiel, travelling south on Gordon Rd (SH87), turn right into Dukes Rd North and then immediately hard left onto the continuation of Gordon Road (look for motel signs on poles). At next cross roads, turn left into School Rd South. Lodge is 1 km on right hand side. |

Undercover car parking is available which is adjacent to each cottage. Additional parking available for your visitors at no additional charge. |
| Things To Do |
Within and around the Mosgiel area can be found a number of outdoor activities and attractions. You can ride the Taieri Gorge railway, starting either at the stunning Dunedin Railway station or catching it from Wingatui. If chasing the elusive "hole in one" is your scene, there are four golf courses in the immediate area who welcome day guests. Being relatively flat in terrain, road cycling is popular in the area: why not join up with the Otago Rail Trail cycling track? The velodrome is a few kilometres down the road for the circuit pedal-pushers. The A & P Showgrounds are nearby, hosting equestrian, vintage car and aeroplane shows and rural fairs. You could spend the day horse-trekking on a rural or coastal trail, or for those who prefer to watch the horses, Wingatui Racecourse is just a few kilometres out of Mosgiel. Lake Waihola and the picturesque Taieri River are nearby for sailing, jet boating, kayaking and fly-fishing, and there are many bush and stream walking tracks in the area. |
